May 12. Has anyone been in the last few days?

I just saw the warning about the air quality in relationship to WDW. We live 35 miles away but we have not been affected too much by the smoke. We are scheduled to go to WDW for a week starting the 20th. I am wondering now if we should cancel. I hate to spend all that money and not be able to be outside.

Has anyone been there recently and how smoky was it?

We just got back yesterday. Wednesday was hazy at Epcot (a smoky smell, especially in the morning), but that was it for us. It wasn't enough to bother us breathing-wise.

We got in from WDW last night/this morning (May 12) and we had good and bad air days. It seemed mostly bad in the mornings, but, when the cross state breezes started up (about 3:00 pm) it was much better.

Last Wednesday (the 9th) we could barely see across World Showcase Lagoon in the morning, but, by 3:00...the air was crystal clear.
