That's great Angie. Makes it feel so much closer doesn't it?

Yes, and we are flying on May 7 so we will have a couple of days at WDW. And driving to LA so a few days at DL both pre and post cruise! A whole month of Disney!! How did I ever get this spoiled? :cutie: :woohoo:

Hi guys, I'm not on your Repo (we're on the EB), but I wanted to pass some info along to you. Not sure if it has already been posted. If so, sorry for the duplication.

In talking to DCL this morning when linking ressies, I asked if they had any idea of the theme nights for the EB. She said no, but they just got the WB nights.

This is not all of them, but a few she highlighted were:

Night 3: Formal Night
Aruba: Tropical Night
Night 8: Semi-Formal Night
Acapulco: Mexican Night
Cabo: Pirate Night (I'm surprised at that one since it is NOT in the Caribbean)
Night 14: Ballroom Under the Stars Formal Night

Enjoy your cruise. Your 90-day booking time should be coming up real soon.
Thanks so much for the info!! Sounds great....now to get a ballgown!

OK. I'm one of those lurkers. I've been lurking for over 4 months, but I had a GREAT reason.

The cruise was a Christmas gift to my wife and son. I guess I'm not great at hiding surprises, because the wife figured me out about 3 months ago. I was in heavy denial since then, until now. Since I was afraid of giving too much away, I have been resigned to lurking. Now that it's out, I am happy to announce that my DW (Beth), DS (Jack - 6) and myself - DH (Stacey) will be on the cruise. We live in Santa Clarita, California (near Six Flags Tragic Mountain). Please add us to the list of those going. We are staying in 7548 and are looking forward to the vacation.

We are looking for all the advice from you experienced cruisers as this will be our first Disney Cruise. We did do a short 3 night cruise to Ensenada on another cruise line, but it was not our style.

Our DS is looking forward to the trip, but at 6 it's hard to get too excited this far in advance.

Also, how does one go about ordering a Laynard?

Finally, are there any DIS meets scheduled in the coming months, especially in the Southern California area?

See you on board!!!

Welcome!!!
I'm V and my party consists on me, DH - John and DD's Samantha 5, and Haley 3.....we have a great group....just jump on in! I think after the 90 day mark more of the lanyards and other organized activities will be finalized....you know, after the final payments have been made!!!:thumbsup2

Hi there! Welcome aboard! What a nice Christmas gift...no one will be disappointed!!! DH (Mark) and I (Lisa) live in So Cal and will be cruising with our two boys who will be 6 and 9 at sailing time. We live in the Temecula Valley area. A while back we had a DISmeet at Storyteller's at the GC. At that time we also talked about have a DISmeet here in Wine Country but that would be more for adults. There was another family that was sailing that lived near Magic Mountain but we haven't heard from them in a while, so I'm not sure if they're still going or not.

This is a great group, if you have any questions, please ask!

Hey all! Yep, I'm still on this cruise, just been busy with our other 6 cruises we took in 2007. I only have a Feb 2008 cruise planned before this one.

I'm not surprised about Pirate Night being Cabo night. In 2005, it was the night we left Acapulco, and we actually hung in the bay and did fireworks before we left. Acapulco also did fireworks for us!

However, I am concerned about night 14 when we do ballroom under the stars. In May, 2005, after we left Cabo, it got COLD! There was a bunch of stuff planned on deck for the last day before we went into San Pedro (Long Beach) and it was so cold no one was going outside, so I am concerned about a night time event since I think it will be too cool to enjoy.

Okay, I've got to run over to the payroll company to pick up payroll.

I'm still planning on heading up the Pirate day with my other team members, and still planning on doing the scrapbook class (I'm in the designing phase of the book) and will do the DisBoard mini-navigator if everyone wants one.

I'll try to check in more frequently, but I have a hard time keeping up with all the posts!

Happy Holidays.

I do have a funny to tell...on xmas my dad and his girlfriend gave Haley a Christmas counting book....on one page it had mittens....they asked Haley to count them and then when she was done they asked what they were....she said cooking hands (that's what we call oven mitts....V speak) they thought it was hilarous that she had no clue what a mitten was.....

Hi Linda, great to hear from you. I hope you do keep popping back - I've missed you!

I was wondering myself about the ballroom under the stars night as I had read about it being cold last time. Will need a back up stole/cape/jacket then!!

You won't need mittens over there V!!! Lucky things.:)

I spent several hours this evening with him. His legs and hands are so swollen. I think he is suffereing some congestive heart failure.

He wanted some ice cream, so I went and got him some ice cream.
He is aware how sick he has been and how sick he is now. He would never say he is getting better. He is just miserable. The doctor says that is good...it means he is coming around and can feel all the pain :confused3 :confused3

He came out of isolation while I was there tonight. The doctors got 2 negitive C-Diff tests. So that is really good.

I went to his house and got any bills that have come in the mail over the last 3 weeks. I went to the hospital and went over the bills with him, wrote the checks and all he had to do was sign them. That exhausted him.

He has come a long way...but has a really long way to go.

Thanks for asking.

Lisa, great news that he is out of isolation!

I have to say that when I was there I totally missed even seeing those places (other than the tree house) and now I know why - Toontown. That place was really small, and seemed shoe-horned in to DL - I felt claustrophobic as I walked around there!

More people like us need to keep riding that horse. It is just plain WRONG.

I went to a local urgent care facility a few weeks ago because I could see I had an infection in my finger. It was all swollen and red. The doctor saw me, lanced it, had me soak it, and that was it. I was there about an hour - even counting the wait. I got the bill the other day . . . FIVE-HUNDRED AND FOUR DOLLARS! Is that crazy? The bill said something like "surgery" - for God's sake he poked my finger! Since it has been a mostly healthy year for me, and I had nowhere met my $250 deductible, I owe over $300.

No wonder we have a health care crisis.

I actually appealed a doctors' office charge once for an incident with Taylor. The doc office charged us 725.00 to put the purple "stitch" glue on Taylor's face and called it minor surgery. The kicker to the whole event was that the doc didn't even do it right. I had taken her in only because I wanted it stitched closed to lessen the chance of a scar and the doc was such an idiot he just slapped the stuff on without even trying to keep the wound closed. She got an even bigger scar than she would have without the visit. I complained the my insurance co and wrote a detailed letter of the offices negligence and their response was that they would just pay the whole bill and not charge me anything! I thought that was pathetic, how does that stop offices from overcharging? No wonder health insurance costs keep increasing.....(and the kicker, the amount they pay docs goes down every year!)

Welcome to our newcomers! We are from WA state...myself, DH, and 2 DD's (6 and 9)

I am excited about the ballroom under the stars night, but Linda's post about temps has me rethinking the type of dress I might get. We have an adults only prom we are going to on April 14th, so I'll actually get to wear the dress twice!

I am finalizing my plans for a trip to Tampa in January and I was going to spend my last night at a DVC resort just to soak up some disney, but they are all sold out:sad2: I could book a garden view room at the contemporary for 34 points:scared1: but that seems way too high! Any DVC thoughts on that one?

WELCOME!
Cruising in my group will be me-Gydell, my DH-Bill(who knows nothing about this cruise until his b'day in April), my dd-Betsy, and dgs-Brent age 6. Glad to see there's another boy!

Gydell, how do you plan on telling your husband about the cruise? Does he have any inkling at all?

she also got a portable DVD player but the battery life is only 2 hours...is that normal? Most movies are 2 hours or longer aren't they?
