10 more minutes until I get to leave work! :yay: Then I have to call my bank and figure out why my paycheck didn't get deposited this morning. Everybody else's was and mine always shows up before 8am. :headache: Good grief. But on a happier note, I'll get to take a nap very soon! Can't wait because I can barely keep my eyes open. Sleep....such a wonderful thing! :cloud9:

A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team's bench.

After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.

"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and a ll the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were
killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her date asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!'

I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!"

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK, I'm cheating now....but here is the poem John wrote for our vows:

John: Lead - I may follow
Deb: Follow - I may lead

Both: Take my hand and walk beside me
We will walk thru this world together

John: Ask - I may answer
Deb: Answer - I may ask

Both: Talk with me and I shall be yours
Friends Forever

John: Touch me - I will respond
Deb: Respond to me - I will touch

Both: Hold Me
And we can reach the stars and play tag among the planets

Isn't that beautiful....After all these years, it still applies. This is the footprint of our marriage....and it works for us.

If you ever got that published I'd bet lots of couples would say those vows.

Congratulations

Hope you get your paycheck sorted out before you leave!!

Deb, that is so sweet! Remembering why you chose this person in the first place is what keeps a marriage strong thru the tough times. What a wonderful tradition you have. An evening just the two of you sounds ideal to me!

Happy Anniversary Deb & John!!!!:cool1:

Happy Anniversary to you and John. Reciting your wedding vows is such a romantic thing to do for each other.

Glad you got a day off Deb.. and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Oh Deb, it sounds like you have such a wonderful husband and marriage! Since I won't be home tomorrow, I want to take the opportunity now to wish you and early HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Have a wonderful Anniversary!

Oh my gosh, that's so beautiful! How creative of John to come up with something so romantic! :cloud9:

What wonderful and romatic sentiments to begin a life together, Deb. You are both so lucky to have found each other.

Deb, that's so beautiful!

WOW....thanks everyone for all the warm thoughts and well wishes. I do feel like we were destined to find one another. I was single and lived alone until I was 33 years old. I had a completely happy life with only one thing missing and every night before I fell asleep I wished that I would find my soulmate. So he must be my awakened dream because a dream is a wish your heart makes!

Yes, that was me! It's quite out of our price range though, since business has been slow for me this fall. I need to pay for the cruise fare and the airfare still. :rolleyes1

What was the From and To amounts? I have to put it in my budget coz we're doing it in 8 more years for our 25th....so if I start now...I can have a nice ceremony and party.

:cheer2: :cloud9: :cheer2:

I think we should still party! Maybe we'll just do an impromtu vow renewal.

That would be so lovely!!:dance3:

Ok I really need to go home and sleep!
I stayed up late last night and then got up around 5 am this morning. Read for a little while and then slept for maybe half an hour....

tick tick tick tick tick tick .....

this is New Year's Eve for me...our last work day of the fiscal year!! Next month will be slamming busy!

Just off to babysit for the evening. Can't use my computer there  and doubt I will have time to log on when I get back:sad1: , so have a good rest of day all!!!

I was just getting the house under control from being away two weekends in a row, patting myself on the back.

I'm relaxing a little bit after my morning shower, and the power goes off. I jump, get dressed, and run outside. The yard guys are flicking the power on and off trying to get the sprinkler timer working.:confused3

I open the controller, take out the 9 volt battery and put it to my tongue, dead. I go in the house, bring out a fresh 9 volt battery, plug it in and the controller is working. I look at the pool, it's green and I check it's controller, it's all wrong and not turning either.

So I open up the electrical panel, and sure enough, the pool circuit was off. So I switch that on, clean out the pool filter, throw in some chroline and go in the house.

The oldest was home from school yesterday with Pink Eye, so I go grab his mattress cover to put it back on his bed and I hear a crinkle and one of the dogs barks. I look out my beautiful custom 9 ft tall french doors and all I see is cracks.:scared1:

So I go outside to take pictures of it for the insurance company, and the glass starts to fall from the door.:headache: So I call the insurance company back to say "I need someone to come and help me with this 9ft tall piece of fractured glass coming down." They ask, "Are you going to be there today?"
"Yes", I reply as I'm still doing the laundry from yesterday's Pink Eye decontamination. :laundy:

I need a spa day.:sad1:
