Our 12 year anniversary is on Saturday (9/8) and I just found out Jaide's teacher is getting married that day this year! We have been together for 14. Although, when we first met we both thought the other was obnoxious...then a few months later we re-met and the rest is history!

Well, I am sitting looking out my window that has a perfect view of the Riverwalk down below. Really nice hotel and wonderful location. Shawn is home alone with the girl's. That's a scary thought! Trial starts early in the morning. My understanding is I might be here for one day, or three tops. I have reviewed the case pretty well and feel prepared for whatever they may throw at me.

Shawn and I have been married for 11 years now. September 22nd we will celebrate 18 years together.

Looking forward to Friday. Will fly out of San Antonio to Ann Arbor to meet Shawn for the big game in the BIG HOUSE. Little scared that Michigan has even more to prove. Could be bad news for us Ducks, but we are confident we will crush those stinkin' Wolverines. After all, we did the same in 03.

One of the most wonderful women in our country has just lost her fight against breast cancer aged 43. Jane Tomlinson was given just months to live after the cancer had spread to her bones. That was 7 years ago.

She has run marathons, cycled accross countries, including America last year, participated in other major sporting events, tirelessly worked to raise millions of £'s. She was often in terrible pain, undergoing chemo and feeling ill, but she was determined. An amazing lady.

Though we knew it would happen, I am just so very sad. She is from Leeds a few miles away, so was on the local news often.

She leaves a husband and 3 children, who supported her all the way. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

OK, laundry is in the dryer, paperwork and bills are done...had my Nutrisystem breakfast and pills...ready for the day. Have to start getting dressed in a bit...need lots of time...have to sit down a lot...legs get heavy and tired easily still.

Good Morning Marilyn, how is your day? Mine looks sunny and warm. Good thing coz I'm still able to wear shorts with these legs...would still have to wear them even if it were snowing outside...better hope for an Indian Summer and some quick healing.

My goodness you've done a lot already today!! I'm tired just reading about it!!

Sitting in shorts at the moment. I enjoy them as well. We usually have an indian summer; i.e. normal for California to be warm all through October!

So Angel puppy is still at DD Sandi's house and I'm told she's being good. She loves playing with all Sandi's pets...2 small dogs and 4 cats (and a bird and a turtle)...I'm glad she's behaving better. They have been working with her on getting her trained.

Ella kitty is sooooooo happy that doggy is gone. She gets me all to herself again and has the run of the house without the dog chasing her around. She's cleaning herself on my partially bare and partially bandaged foot and it tickles everytime her ears brush against my foot.

We'll give it another week or two and then think about taking Angel back home. Hopefully, I'll be much improved by then.

I had thought to wash my undies by hand, but where do you put them when the room steward can be in and out all day?

We brought enough for the whole trip as well, although I did hand wash a few things in the evening after turn down. They were usually dry by morning.

We sure are! When I told him last night that we'd be doing that today, he told me he doesn't want to. But I think that was just tiredness talking because this morning he asked me when we're getting ice cream! It has to be after my dad & stepmom leave, which will probably be after dinner. Wouldn't be good to have ice cream before dinner anyway, so it works out!

We are a bit sad tonight. We sent our dog Gator to go live with my mom. She has five acres and there is plenty of room to run. Gator has been sort of lost since Lilly (her mom) died and my mom has a rottie named Big Un - and he's truly is the size of a small pony and they lost Gator's father Ernie last year so Big Un is pretty lonely as well. I know it will be good for both of them, but I am sad just the same.

The fires are still burning. She has spoken with her family and all is fine, for now. She heard of a story of a mom and four kids that they found charred to death, hugging one another. They tried to escape by car but there was an accident and so they got out of the car and tried to escape by foot but the 100 mph winds that were propelling the fire, caught them...and the rest you can surmise what happened. How awful!

That's so sad... My heart goes out to all of those people.

We will hit the 40 year mark Oct 6. DD, DS and DM are having a "surprise" party for us Sept 29. They planned to have it a week early to "throw us off."

Oh, and we met at Disneyland, love at first sight, married the 9th time we ever laid eyes on each other.

Ok, that's just too good to be true... Almost a blech moment, but sweet all the same!!
