Along the way, learn about the fascinating history of Puerto Vallarta from your friendly guide, and discover the savory history of traditional Mexican cuisine. Upon your arrival, make your way to the onsite kitchen and meet the chef — your instructor for the day's festivity — who will assign you a dish to prepare. Then, learn the secrets of cooking Mexico's most beloved dishes in an exciting "hands-on" food cooking experience. Savor a sip of wine during your cooking lesson and, after the hour-long class, enjoy the fruits of your labor as you dine on your very own mouthwatering creation.

After lunch, wander the picturesque ranch, home to farm animals both big and small, and explore the traditional home located on the property grounds. Delight in a fun-filled horseback ride or spend time with your children at the on-site playground. Soak up the lush tropical landscape where colorful flowers and shady trees mingle with towering mountain peaks and panoramic seaside views, or shop for souvenirs at the gift shop. Sandy, here's the quote of the class.

I know that in most states and up here a fridge placed out for pick needs to have the doors taken off, so that kids do not climb in and get stuck. But I wonder if there isn't a company that might come and take it away as is and take it to the local depot. That will be awful when opened.

PJ

Wasn't that one of the worst things they were saying about clean-up after Katrina? All the fridges and freezers and warehouses......eewwww.

By the way V, it is 11 degrees here now . . .

I open the deck door to let the dog out, and it is like opening the door to a walk-in freezer!

Sheesh, even here in the middle of BC (Vancouverites will call it Northern BC), it is only -5 Celsius outside right now (23 F) but with the wind it is kinda like 12 F.

It was quite a balmy day up here! But the beer on the deck is still nice and cold. :thumbsup2

for $39 I will teach ya'll to make some salsa!

& I'll bring the chips...

OH MY! and yes, I am just now catching up on the news!

Snow forecast for western Florida Panhandle

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Florida could be seeing some snow today.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the westernmost part of the Florida Panhandle until three o'clock today.

A low-pressure system is expected to pass across the northeastern Gulf of Mexico into the western Atlantic today as cold air continues to flow into the region.

That could mean rain mixed with sleet and possibly snow.

The weather service doesn't expect too much of the white stuff. Accumulations of snow are forecast to be no greater than an inch.

I had snow for dinner tonight...

How old is Bobby . . . . well, that's a new one for me . . . I'm not really sure. I think we are going to have to write a Bobby Bio with all these question answered, or I will forget.

Amy and I went to her business' winter dinner/dance tonight. We both ate too much, so we can't go to bed yet.

I think Bobby is going to have to go to the spa and get oiled down so he doesn't get brittle... wouldn't want to have to peruse Ebay for a replacement... with our luck... V would end up with one with a WOOL hat!!!

John, I have you beat 10 degrees. OUCH

F or C?

Hey all...ok, 1 day of classes and a dinner at Bomas and I am now 18 pages behind:confused3 Oh well, I am totally stuffed and watching the zebras on the balcony right now...I'll have to deal with being 18 pages behind!!!!

So, we had those horrible torrential rains with major thunder and lightening storm tonight and then cold front is supposed to move in. Good thing I left all those shorts at home!:sad2:

Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to say hi! There is no way I'll catch up, but I'll pop back on when I get home.

Don't worry. :) Bobby has survived many a DISkid in the past. :lmao: In fact...it was John1's dd who saved Bobby from certain death on the first Geek cruise. Apparently he was losing air and she insisted that he be revived! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I had to give him "mouth to stem" resuscitation.

(did that sound wrong?)

Silly suggestion here...

Since we are all fessing up to the fact that we all have traveling buddies... Come on... fess up....

Wouldn't it be hysterical to take a picture with everyone's buddies right after we take a picture of all the Disers???

Yeah, I know... I'm nuts...

Molly & Wilson are my traveling buddies....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

They are bringing their buddies....

look closely, Mickey still has his kids club band on his arm

Lisa if those rooms get crowded, I have a room all to myself and will have plenty spare of luggage room.

Since they put you in a van with other people, how do they know how much to tell you when you book?? We were in a van with 3 other couples, none of them knew each other. So, did one person pay $39 and the rest less? At the airport they waited to get the van fairly full also before they took us to DL. This pricing makes no sense to me when they are putting strangers in the van together. Which one do they pick to pay the $39?? :confused3 It has changed since we used them obviously. :confused3

We must be talking two different things. The shuttle I took from the airport to the DL Hotel and back was, I think, $14 each way - $28 total if you paid for both legs at once. It was maybe $17 if you bought a one-way. I was just there in November . . . but, it was a big bus - not a van. Picked us up at the hotel, and I was at John Wayne in about 25 minutes (it was VERY early in the morning though) I think I left the DL Hotel at 5:00 for the 6:45 flight on Frontier. Did not need a reservation either - just get in line at the curb and wait.

Bobby should be fine for a long time. With all this talk of travel companions I went out to the garage last night and looked for and found my 3 foot tall inflatable California Raisin from (DRUM ROLL PLEASE) 1997 (his birthday was tattooed on his back-lol). He is fine, a little wrinklie but stands proud and tall. :thumbsup2

I know that guy has never been near a spa, the sun yes (that explains the wrinkles, right). :cool2:

I was amazed for 2 reasons: 1) I found him and 2) he was able to be restores to his original size.

I wonder if he would be interested in a visit to his birthplace in late May????

Very cute! :goodvibes I sure wish I could get Tyler to stay up as late as your girls are able to. It sure would make life easier, especially on pirate night! He fell asleep in the shopping cart today at a little before 6pm. :guilty: We rushed home so he could have a quick dinner before completely crashing for the night. It's always a rush to get through dinner before he's out. :sad2:

how about giving him some naps?
