I have a day one on a couple of other forums I am on - 67+ days now till I fly off!!!!!
70 days for me....it may sound strange but I am kind of thankful that there are still 70 days because there is so much I have to get done before we head on the cruise! My goal is to step aboard the Magic with all those stressful loose ends tied up and we get 15 days of pure bliss:goodvibes ! Wish me luck:lmao:

Photoshop pics.....those were great. I wasn't aware that you could take out backgrounds and replace them with things. Are most of those hard? The most advanced thing I have done is superimposed a black and white pic on a color pic and then removed some part of the b&w to make it look like a phototinted b&w. The hard thing about that is making sure you have clean lines. Of course, in the last 4 years I have done none of that. I keep thinking digital scrapbooking will make it better but I just can't get there, at least not with this computer. :sad2:

Canon Update:By the way, got the pics back from Walmart and they look great, so I guess it is something with the printer. We are going back to Office depot tomorrow to show them the difference between the new printer, our old printer and the walmart pics and see if they can figure out what is up. The salesguy promised Scott that I could print great pics on it, so we hope it is just a simple button or something that we need to hit. Thanks to everyone for the advice.

Yesterday she thought she had enough of my cruise planning. I was drinking my coke and working on the cruise stuff. I left and came back and she had knocked my coke over onto my cruise plans! You can't even read them now. She is punishing me and we haven't even left yet.:rotfl:

Once you can get used to used to using and understanding different layers, it becomes much easier. It is still sometimes quite time consuming to remove an object or a background perfectly, but after awhile you develop your own personal technique for making it faster/easier. But if you are trying to get down to the individual pixel it can get rather tedious - especially when you working with different shades of the same colour! Alot of the time tho, the results make it worthwhile.

That is a HUGE relief!!!

Can your printer print directly from your memory card? You might want to try doing that if possible. That way you can make sure it isn't a setting on your computer and is something inside the or a setting directly on the printer. Sometimes you can do it with Pictbridge or alot of printers these days are coming with a built in card reader. If you can tell me the name and model of the printer I can look something up here to see if it has that capability for you (slow work day as I mentioned).

Deborah if you go on Ebay uk, there are loads of Hawaiian shirts in this country, so I might get one. There seems nothig for us ladies though.

I bought hawaiian shirt for Keith about two years ago and I know it won't fit him now, I went to Shop called Gap and they told me come back 6 weeks as new summer clothes. I wait and see.

Very cute kitty!

OK everybody, this might be my last post of the day. My computer is about to die permanently. I had problems a few months ago with the screen bouncing up and down often and my friend told me he thinks it's the video card about to go bad, whatever that means. NOW, it looks like a staticy tv station -- and I can barely see anything, so I'm going to use these last few minutes of it's life to save all my pics to discs in case I can't get back on again. I hope it's not too expensive to fix because a new computer is not in the budget until next year. :sad2:

I'll check in when at work tomorrow during lunch.

Where do you lives?

We are staying for 3 nights at DL because it is a long flight home. We thought why not spending times at DL.

I have not starting packing yet but buy some clothes.

We are not wearing the match clothes. Maybe put kids tee shirt to match not sure yet.

(Timbits never heard of them, thanks for the pic.) We dont have it well. but have the dougtnuts anyway.

Scottishwee35

We live in Florida - but have had the good fortunate of visiting Scotland...several times... lovely place. I have ancestral connections to Scotland, although the immediate family is English.

So, while my flight is long, it is not as long as yours.

V, go to your eye doctor right away. This happened to me 3 years ago. At first I thought I had an eyelash or something in there that wouldn't go away, then when my eye was swollen and I could barely keep it open, I had it checked for pinkeye at a regular doc, he told me he thought he saw something in it and referred me to an eye doc. Turns out I had a PIECE OF GLASS in my eye. Do NOT mess around with this. No idea how it happened, but he removed it and all is well.
thanks...it seems ok today..but I have my glasses on!

V,
My backup plan is to make sure someone is collecting our mail if we don't get it. That way, if it arrives while we are at sea and we need it, someone can overnight or 2 day it (some countries will take two days). Most emergencies that would happen, you can't necessarily fly out that same day anyway - even if you are within the States. Also, I think if the passport agency has your application (and has had it for 8 weeks), and you suddenly need it, the U.S. embassy would be able to quickly process it since it would already be in the system. I would make sure you have those birth certificates handy just in case! Before our January cruise, I thought I knew exactly where it was and about 2 weeks before the cruise, I went to go get it and it wasn't there!:scared1: I had to turn the house upside down to try to find it. Very stressful! We are going tomorrow to get the kids passports and mine...I have to make up some story to the kids as to why we need them since they don't know yet about the cruise. Anyone have a good fib?
Lisa
I went ahead and got them. John is applying tomorrow...hope they come in time...!

My pc at work totally blew up...I had to use a satellite office but was unable to access any of my web pages I work from since I did not have the web certificates on the pc I was working on. What a flippin mess! IS didn't get back to me until after 4 - I had gone for the day and they will hopefully get me a new one asap. I have had the same work pc for 6 years now...not sure how long they last, it's a compaq I think.

OK...so now my computer decided to start behaving. For a bit, that is. So I guess I'll keep posting until it dies! Decided to upload my pics to kodakgallery where I have my others, rather than on disk for now, just in case I lose the disks in my messy bedroom. :thumbsup2

got home. Made a huge pot of chili and some tacos, John is off to his game and the girls are I are going to hunker down on the couch and keep warm! John is off tomorrow and we are supposed to head to WDW after work but I really don't even want to go...isn't that terrible?

:)
The only thing macting we have is red shirts, not matching but red. Will probably wear it to board the ship. We want our pix to look good since it is dh's 1st DCL cruise!

That would be a good choice - we wore a Hawaiian outfit once, way too busy for the picture.....:)

I love chili! I sure wish I cooked. I used to up until maybe 10 years ago. Just can't get motivated to start again.
