Wow, I 've just turned on the news. :sad2: DH graduated from NIU, I worked at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. What a shock!

As you might imagine, this just kills me......this is so sad!! Daniel said that all the kids at Tech had e-mails from the President....dean of college they are in and several others. They set up a center in the student arena with councelors for students to talk to.....what a mess.

Daniel left this morning....he is bowling in Indiana this weekend. He was glad to leave......

Terrible and I know you feel sad too.

Can you tell me what is BUNCO?

We plan to be at DL prior to the cruise, so we could pick up a few extra maps and bring with us. Will you be at the DTD meet on the 9th?

That would be so kind of you to do this for me.

No, we will not be going to DTD this time. First time going that far and not going to Disney. I would love to get them on the ship though. We'll have over two weeks to bump into each other and I know where your favorite spot is on CC. We were neighbors at cc on our Dec. cruise. You and your family were having the best of times.

Ok everyone...

This is my latest story... (& I'm sorry to rant, but right now, I'm pretty alone in this...

First I have to note that I don't get along with my father... VERY bad divorce and I was the one child out of the 4 that was left behind... (the others were older and in college or on their own... I was the only one at home...)

After a very bad incident whereas his wife threw a fit and went after me (for something that was so silly and foolish - I took my nephew to McDonalds and she was serving hamburgers for dinner...) and threw me out of the house... Ever since then my father and I have had a strained relationship. I had panic attacks and pains in my chest for the last 28 years so I decided to have my own life. I am very cordial and respectful when I am in his company - he turns things around and tells his version of things and I end up on the bad side of things...

So... last Thursday my brother calls my mom... They don't call me, because they think that I'm the one that left dad... and they blame me... He tells her that dad had surgery to remove a cyst... I come down to TX to visit my sister and she tells my mother - not me... that it is cancer, but that they don't know what the treatment will be.

He's 77 this year. Has more heart problems than Dr. Oz could find... along with many other health issues.

So... I've spent the last 2 nights crying because I am afraid that if I have to go to his funeral/services, whatever... someone is going to blow up at me (I do not intend to cause a scene...but I don't trust my stepmother...)

So I'm feeling pretty crappy about all of this.

Sorry I had to rant... I just don't have too many people to talk to about it...

I know all to well what it is like to have one side of the family that you cannot talk to nor trust. No advice but lots of

If you happen to have any extra maps of the theme parks could you please bring them to me on the ship so I won't be so lost. I'm only going to be there for a couple of days and I will be trying to get in as much as we can. I do not need maps of Disney World, been there many times.

Also has anyone ever been on one of the Hollywood tours?

Put the maps I have in the same folder as the Palo list, you can get there by clicking in my signature.

After my haircut, they ask if you want it styled. I say yes everytime. It's the only time it looks decent. I can never get it to look the same. :sad2:

I actually come home and wash my hair... they always end up putting so much crap in it and it is so stiff and stuff... & I hate the way they style it... I used to get my friend to cut and color mine and she always knew to just let me dry it myself...

Every time I empty a suitcase for another trip, it seems I find a bag of Disney pins. I bet I have loads of them. I thought I was going to collect them, then I thought I would do some kind of shadow box frame with them, but ultimately, they just sit in bags. The only real souvenirs we have that are always out are our pictures.

John... I found an idea for all the pins I get - I have them on lanyards, but I have also seen them simply pushed into a cork bulliten board. It's an easy way to display them.

Who's ordering a basket from Shirley?
When will you order?
What will you order?
Inquiring minds need to know!!:)

I am!!! I just emailed her and she also said that if there is anything special you want to send down to put in she will make sure it is included... I'm doing one for mom for her birthday...

No, they need to upgrade US first! Then you guys can have the 8.

Sophia just got up and is hungry. Time to get her some breakfast.

See you all later. Lots to get done today with Sophia's party tomorrow.

Oh man!!! You let her sleep until 11 am???? SHE'S TO YOUNG TO ACT LIKE A TEENAGER!!!

Hey I have already ordered from Shirley. I just ordered a medium bucket for my daughter. It will have juice, M&M's, and other goodies in it. I am excited. It was REALLY expensive...so I hope it is worth it. Frankly, I was shocked at the price. But I know she will want a bucket and stuff for the beach. Ugh.

Everyone I have talked to says her baskets are really good!!!

I sent another email off to Ivanova last week(her friend and TA) but she hasn't replied yet. It looks like she too isn't posting any more. I'm hoping she lurks a bit and will catch the PM. It was early December when she replied last time.

I guess if she is still coming along she will be quiet and not joining in.

Both were spending time on another board, when we originally booked this cruise. I can't recall the name, or I would pop over and check, sorry.

I am frantically trying to cathc up before we lose this section too but I have to respnde to this coment -

When was the last time you tasted pee :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

And I was so freaked out by the thought of it I could not even type.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I know that feeling! The last time I had an MRI, I had to hold my arm over my head the entire time, and I couldn't WAIT for the darned thing to be over!

But she is concerned about a CAT scan so we must reassure her that it is NOT the enclosed test that the MRI is. These are MRI stories which are good as we remind each other that we made it through. Jill's CAT should be a BREEZE since it should be an open environment.

OK.....here's Bobby's tentative itinerary: Headed to FL to visit Heather & family next, then after that he'd like to visit V & family! :thumbsup2 So Heather, just PM John with your address and he's happy to send you the "non-leaking" Bobby and I'll send you his suitcase (you know I have your address). Then you can send Bobby and his suitcase on to V next.

Don't forget to get the passport filled in!

I bet this has already been said, but weren't some of you ladies living the WW way. This could a Dis WW event! How cool to have that support during the cruise.

Ian, although I am not a WW gal, this is a great idea.

I'm serious. I do lead Weight Watchers meetings. I do it part time in addition to my normal Monday - Friday job.

I have lead 3 meetings on Sunday mornings, 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. My 11:00 AM has 60 people in it.

Actually, this coming week I actually am leading 5 meetings. I'm subbing for another leader on Monday evening and then again next Saturday at 8:00 AM.

I really rather like leading meetings. It motivates me a lot and I learn a lot from my members. We also have a lot of fun.

Last week the topic was exercise, and I told one of the groups that I was looking forward to getting a Wii Fit, and doing virtual snowboarding. Then I jumped sideways and mimed snowboarding (imagine some pelvic thrusts). One of the members screamed, "Im blind! I'm blind!" The whole room cracked up including me.

-----
So - the saga of the tails. I had meant to call cruiseline formal, but their hours are only until 5PM easter and they have no email address. I'll have to try on Monday.

------

On another note, I will be bringing my laptop on the cruise. Should I be thinking about a Mouse Manager event? Demos perhaps?

I thought cruiseline formal did have email? Were you ready to order or have a question?

Well, I feel good! I went on a 1/2 hour jog.....came home did 50 crunches and 50 reverse crunches. The girls are snuggled in my bed watching Snow White....(bedtime is so much fun!) John is watching 3:10 to Yuma, I am too a bit....

I bought all new WW materials last time I was there...the new blue bag, I can't find it anywhere!! Guess I will have to suck it up and hit a meeting.

My sister truely is claustrophobic. She was locked in one of those old refrigerators when she was just over two...she was playing. Luckily my mom and grandma found her in time. But, she has real difficulty riding in elevators, etc. We had inside staterooms in Dec and she brought a small fan that she clipped on the cupboard door. The air flow helped her from feeling panicky. She has been in enclosed spaces before and found this helped.

POOR BABY!! POOR SIS!!

:goodvibes Great stragegy. Maybe that would help Holly!:goodvibes

We always like an inside stateroom because if we want to sleep late, the body clock has no idea the sun is up. One cruise we slept until 11 and only woke up because of a shipwide announcement.

I couldn't find an email address.

What I wanted to know was whether I could special order tails.[/QUOTE]

As I tell new members, "members who attend weekly meetings lose 3 times the weight of members who choose to go it alone."

Actually, I was not happy when I joined Weight Watchers. I told myself that I would "pretend the program worked" and follow it and I would attend weekly meetings and "pretend I liked the people."

After a while I stopped pretending. It did work and I really did like the people in my meeting. I became very close to them. When I hit goal, people were phoning members who couldn't make on their cell phones to give them the news.

Just remember one thing. It's what I tell new members in the getting started sessions I run ... you are not locked into a leader or a group. I run 3 meetings on Sundays and although the topic is the same, because of the group dynamics they are 3 completely different meeting.

I tell new members that they owe me nothing. If I don't click for them as a leader or the group doesn't, I encourage them to find a leader that works for them, a day and time that works and a group that works. I tell them that it is not about attending MY meeting but doing what they NEED to do to be successful.

the problem with WW here..they moved it...so there is one location all the way across town. I became lifetime when I went with two co-workers. I am pretty competitive and I was darn sure I was gonna do it!

I did the same thing. I ordered one from Shirley also for Jamie's birthday cruise last year when she turned 15. I thought it was a lot of money for what we got also. What I did last cruise was I ran to the room and had pre-made a card from Mickey and it had a charm bracelet and then each night while Jamie was in the Teen Loft I put a charm on her pillow from "Mickey" so when she came in at 2 a.m. each night she looked on her pillow before going to bed. Mickey told her in the card with the bracelet to look on her pillow each night for a gift to go with the theme for the day. It was alot of fun and I didn't spend anywhere near what I did for the basket!

WHAT A WONDERFUL IDEA!:thumbsup2
