Just finished a report and lost the whole thing, so I've lost some of my enthusiasm for this!

All in all was glad for the chance to have a DISNEY cruise!
My neices 11 & 13 really enjoyed it.

The 11 year old loved the Oceaneers Lab and was there all the time:yay:
The 13 year old didn't go to the Edge very often. Not sure what the problem was?! Didn't look very exciting to me. Maybe it needs some more Magic in there!

My next cruise will probably not be Disney. I have loved all of the cruises I have been on, including this one. The reason being the cost of the cruise and the cost of the excursions. I also didn't think it was better than other cruises (HAL & RCCL). I would go again if I ever have grandchildren:scared1:

Bravo to all the cast members. The princesses never looked bored, fed up, tired... they truly did a wonderful job. I thought all the cast members were great. More than once I had a tear in my eye upon seeing a child kiss Mickey's nose or run into the arms of someone! On Deck 4 we got to see Mickey, Minnie & Goofy quite a bit with very little crowds and sometimes
there was no one:eek:

On the last night in the Promenade Lounge Goofy danced (for quite a while!) with all the little kids and a few grandma's he pulled onto the dance floor. Was such fun to watch!

Didn't try the barb-q cause it was just too cold!

Not Disney's fault but I did hear a few American's making snide remarks about Canadian's (2 at the port). umm, hey guys... head's up when your travelling in someone else's country.. your voice's do carry... oh ye superior ones... I realize one bad apple does spoil the whole bunch.:upsidedow

Beach Bingo Buffet had the smallest seating area I have ever seen on a ship. It was too cold to eat outside so that should improve as the weather gets warmer.

The TV channels were sadly lacking. How many times does one want to watch the Fockers or Yogi Bear?!?!

I loved the Golden Mickey's and the other Dream show. Some mentioned not liking Toy Story. The actors were excellent but I think it's just a tired story. I never did like the Sid part in the movie. It's just all so predictable and maybe time for something new.

Christian is an awesome cruise director!

Kind of boring from noon to three. That would be the time I would have caught a 3D movie but they all played when other stuff was going on.
I read 3 books.

The elevators were the smallest I've seen too but after the 1st day it was just fine

Workers cleaning all the time. Very nice to see! No fingerprints on everything!

I do think that many on these boards really overthink things ( I'm guilty too) and it may spoil it a little.

Get a wake up call!!!! Mickey is so sweet and it's a great way to start the day!

I'll add things as I think of them but for now,

that's ALL folks!

Welcome home, looking forward to the rest of your trip report. It is frustrating when you lose a whole post:flower3:

I hate losing a trip report!

Did you do excursions via the cruiseline? If so, which ones? If not, what did you do and like in each of the ports? We're doing Ketchikan on our own, and also have three days in Vancouver.

Dreamerliz - sorry you lost your post. I really wanted to see what people had to say, as I too were on your cruise.

Please accept my apologies for the snide remarks by those Americans. Please realize that they don't represent us all. My friend and I had the honors of meeting people from all over. Brazil, San Diego, North Carolina, and yes many Vancouver people as well. It was fun to talk to everyone and find their reasons for taking the cruise. I know when they found out we were from Hawaii, they understood why we looked so bundled up. I think that the best part, and saddest was saying goodbye to everyone. Including those we had meet from other parts. As we waited to disembark, those that you had struck up a conversation with were telling you goodbye and to have a safe trip home. In the end, I realized that going to Alaska, seeing all her beauty was a chance of a lifetime.
