May 1 FE Thread: Who wants it?

Ok fellow May 1, 2011 cruisers, let's get this FE ball rolling! Who wants to join the fun? This is the official FE sign up thread. If you are interested in joining, reply to this thread and I will put you on the list. Also, please subscribe so you won't miss out on any updates. When it gets closer to time, I will send out a complete list with final instructions. Feel free to add any input as this is OUR FE exchange, and we can do it HOWEVER we want! If you have sent me a PM, I have you down!

**I will need the first names of everyone in the room, the ages and genders of the kids, your stateroom number, and you can PM me your personal email address so that I will be able to send you the spreadsheet with all the participants' information. If you are new to the boards and cannot send a PM, let me know and I will PM you my personal email address so that you can email me the information. If you have reserved GTY and do not know your stateroom number, go ahead and send me the rest of the information, and I will update your stateroom number once you have it. Thanks!**

**The sign up has officially ended. However, if anyone still wishes to sign up, you may do so but will be considered "optional" and you may or may not receive gifts from everyone. If you wish to sign up under these terms, please give me all the requested info, and I will add you.**

I have removed the list of participants from this post because 1) it was getting a little lengthy and taking up space and 2) we have the spreadsheet now to help with planning. If you have recently joined and don't have the spreadsheet yet, you will get an updated one when it gets sent next weekend. If you would like a copy of what has already been sent, let me know and I will get it to you.

Please count us in! We have 2 rooms. Myself, DH and DD - age 2 in one room and my parents in the other. This is our first Disney cruise and we are excited about it.

Hello! We (me, DH, DS4, MIL & FIL) are taking this cruise for my son's 5th birthday. But just my son and I will be doing the FE. I am sure he will love all of the extra birthday presents!

I'm so excited that our FE is growing! I'm also excited that today is the maiden voyage and we are pretty soon going to start reading reports from actual fully booked sailings! With the last of yesterday's snow melting, I'm ready for a tropical vacay!

PrLissette, glad you found the FE thread! FE stands for fish extender. Outside of each stateroom is a hook of sorts with a fish (or starfish or seahorse on the Dream). By signing up on here, people can join an FE gift exchange. Everyone participating will get a list of people and their stateroom numbers who have also signed up. Throughout the cruise participants will deliver the gifts to the participating staterooms and leave them in their fish extenders, which is really just something hung from the fish hook with pockets to hold your gifts. It's a fun way to get to know other cruisers and the gifts are a nice treat to have waiting for you when you return to your room each day. The gifts can be any value you choose. Some people make something crafty. Others bring things that represent where they live. Some even bring things people might find useful for the trip. Also, one could choose to get one gift for each stateroom on the list, something for each person in the room, or maybe even multiple gifts throughout the cruise. There are several helpful threads on the regular cruise forum with even more information. Currently, there are 8 staterooms signed up for ours. We'd love to have you join the group. Hi - I am super new, didnt know what FE was until I read the last message and still wondering about the DH and all the other codes. Any key anywhere so I can catch up.

The FE sounds fun. Will someone tell me more or less how many gifts to bring, and if we need to put something special on the door that I have to bring with me ?

I am with my son, 11, daughter, 8, and mother. What else do I need to do to get in on the fun ?
