I was thinking of going sometime in May - is there a best time to go to avoid the large crowds? Is it better at the beginning, middle or end of the month?
Are the crowds already large at that time ?

Thanks for the info, however being from Canada I am not sure when memorial day is celebrated. Do you know when it is this year ?

This year Memorial Day will be Monday, May 29.

We're headed there May 1-6th from Canada also, so far I have not read anything negative about that time period (keeping fingers crossed).
