when do the florida schools go on summer break?

i'm thinking that we should go during the first week of May?? we went last year, i believe around may 18th-19th, & the crowds weren't too bad on the weekdays. there were some large school groups on field trips/outings but we just didn't get behind them in line & worked around them.

Orange and Osceola are near Orlando. Hillsborough would be Tampa. They all get out between 05/23/05 and 05/25/05. Dade and Broward (South Florida) also get out on those dates.
Beginning of May would be a great time to visit. It's just after Spring break, and the kids are still in school.

Yes, the schools go on field trips to IOA. But they have a huge disadvantage, in that most of the busses don't show up until 11am. Plus they can't get any express passes. So if you hit IOA early in the morning, take a lap of walk on rides, then head over to USF, you'll avoid the kids.
Field trips are usually on a Friday.
