Maxpass question

once my tickets arrive to me in Iowa can I go ahead and scan them into the app and purchase max pass? I know it won't activate until in the park, but can I get all that taken care of before hand?

No. You can scan them in but you can't purchase MaxPass until you pass through the park turnstiles.

Also make sure you have a credit card saved into your account. It makes purchasing MaxPass much quicker once you’re in the parks!

When I look at buying tickets online, it gives me the option of adding MaxPass (just like adding the Park Hopper option). So I'm confused about why people say you can't purchase until in the park?

In my case I had purchased my tickets before MP was launched so we couldn’t add it until our tickets were activated. I see that has changed now. It appears on the site you have to purchase MP for every day though so I’d probably still wait till I got to the parks to purchase. We didn’t need MP every day so it was nice to be able to choose which days I wanted it.
