Yes, that is what we do (ask a CM to take the photo). Sometimes the photo's don't turn out good because my wife has a sophisticated camera (I only use my phone). The photo experience is changing with enhanced photos and ride photos/videos. They can make it look like Tinkerbell is in the palm of your hand. The kids really like it (it's similar to Snapchat and other apps they use).
They're called Magic Shots

And odd. CMs usually only had trouble with my phone for taking pictures (the "there is no actual button on the screen, just tap anywhere on the screen" instruction seems to confuse most people). My DSLR (when I still asked CMs to take pictures) as long as I had already adjusted the settings from whatever manual mode I was using come out just fine.
Note that while it's very rare, the official photos can come out bad. I have a few hilariously bright (like the sun is coming from our faces bright) photo from the Visa meet and greet. A PP CM friend said what happened is the camera auto focused on something it shouldn't have.
Anywho, was just curious. Your comment read like you might not have known that you could ask a CM to use your camera. You'd be surprised the number of people I've met that think they have to use the official cameras only! Thank you for clearing that up.
