Maxpass/fastpass and world of color strategy

I’m going to disneyland for the first time next week and wanted to nail down my world of color game plan before I arrive.

I’m planning on getting Maxpass. Can I get a paper fastpass for world of color and also Maxpass other attractions? What’s the benefit of getting a fastpass for world of color, is it really worth it?

And will there be fastpasses for together forever? Or will that just be a standing in Main Street situation?

WoC fastpass is separate from other FPs. No need to rush for it, typically the first show runs out early to late afternoon. Worth it or not, get one. It all depends on where you want to be and when you go to the queue...

No FP at all for fireworks or parades. Viewing will be in Main Street and the hub, as well as around the park. Special points of view or available in NOS around the ROA. Also possibly at IASW.

The benefit of a FP for WOC is that you won't be allowed into the WOC viewing area without one. Whether you get a free FP or choose to do a Dining Package FP, you will have to present your FP to enter the WOC viewing area. If you choose to view from one of the non-FP viewing areas, you will have a non-prime view, at best.

the line usually moves at a good pace, most people send a runner while heading towards rides and meet up after they get the FP. FP machine is at Grizzly River Run.. after its been open for awhile it will swap back to GRR FP, but have two WOC FP machines still going ..
