Maximum Occupancy?

Disney states a one Bedroom Villa sleeps up to 4. We are a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 children, whose current ages are DD 8, DS 6, and DD 4. While not the sleeping arrangements we have at home, I think we could get along fine for 4 or 5 nights in a one bedroom. 3 girls using the King Bed and 2 boys using the sofa bed. Must we use a Two Bedroom because we are more than 4?

Although it is not stated as their policy, Disney has been letting 5 sleep in a 1 BR villa. Be aware that they could, at any time, enforce their 4 in a 1 BR policy. The new 1 BR villas at AKV does have an extra sleeper chair that will accomodate 5. Be forewarned! This is a real, real touchy topic for some. I recognize that you're "new" here and asking an honest question. But some issues make people go ballistic--DVC occupancy is right up there with refillable mugs and smoking. So, your thread may be closed--it's nothing personal. Please check out the link above and get as much info as you can.

As your family grows, AKV might be a good choice for you since it "officially" sleeps 5 in a 1BR. While we could technically squeeze into a AKV 1BR next trip (we have 4 kids, youngest would be in a crib), we're going for a 2BR. More money but more room, and it will be easier to have my little two nap or go to bed earlier, plus I have 1 early riser. Just some things to think about.

Yeah, you could all squeeze in that way. But is that anyway to spend a vacation????
