Maximizing Value of Volunteer Voucher

I'd love to know the answer to this as well.

I still have $$ left on my birthday card too, although not the full amount. Last time I used mine the CM reminded me that it was only good for a year (I thought I had read that they didn't expire) but I didn't ask about any other rules.

My guess: they probably won't let us combine them.

I don't know about the one year expiration but you should definitely be able to use your birthday Fun Card with your GADGAD voucher. The Fun Card is treated like a gift card, not a free one day ticket. That's my understanding.

Side note-my DM and DD10 got their Fun Cards in Sept. at WDW. When they were given them we were told several times by each CM that our Fun Cards were only good at WDW and not at DLR. I made sure I used up my DD's FC but my DM didn't she planned on using it next trip. Well, wouldn't you know it that when she recently got her new AP she asked the CM at DLR if she could apply her unused balance from her Fun Card to her AP. She said "sure". That was directly the opposite of what we were told multiplie times in WDW. Just goes to show you that even when you are told something is definite, it may not be. :confused3

After reading all this thread I'm rethinking what I'm going to do with my GADGAD voucher (once I get it). I was going to simply apply it to my SCAP and pay the balance monthly. Now I think I'll upgrade it to a PH tix (thereby getting a MM-never have done this) and then upgrade that to my AP after using the MM. Our AP are good until Oct. so I don't see Disney offering any deals on PH (though you never know.)

Side note-Horrible thing is my DD10's school district just voted to go to a more traditional school schedule starting in Aug. and while we used to have Jan, May, and Sept. off now we will have the same schedule as most others. :confused3 This year she'll be off July and 1/2 of Aug. (returns on 8-16) 1 week at TGiving, 2 weeks at Xmas, and 2 weeks in Spring. That means that the SCAP may no longer be such a good deal for us as we won't be able to go when she's out of school. I wish the school district had thought of how much more it's going to cost us to go to DLR when they voted to change the schedule, I mean, really!:rotfl: And my DD10 asks me almost daily if we are still going to WDW in Sept. Personally I have no problem with her missing school-she gets straight A's and is already over 300% of this year's AR goal. But I might decide to go in early Oct. instead.

I am going to try this in 4 days...I will let you all know! I figure if not, I can still use the birthday card for food, etc., right?!?!?

I think you only get a Magic Morning with a 3-day+ hopper...does that cost less than a Southern California AP? If the hopper costs more, then there may be a problem with the AP because I don't think you can "downgrade" your admission. (Though a Deluxe AP might start to make sense with your DD's new schedule. :( )

Peace.love.mickey, I don't think the Fun Card can be used for food, unless you count candy as food, of course. :flower3: Hope it works for your upgrade!

The birthday fun card is valid for purchases at Marcelines Confectionery in DTD. YUM!

I'll be watching for your report. :thumbsup2

Only food that's "merchandise", like bags of candies and things like that.

It's mainly for souvenirs, not food. But at DLR, it could be used for tickets and upgrading tickets!

I remember reading that the B-day card was only good at select merchandise locations, that's what had me questioning whether they would apply it to ticket media. But if they've been allowing it at DL, maybe we will be able to combine both deals. That would be great!
