Does anyone have any suggestions of the best way to maximize this time?
I imagine that once I'm in a land or at least half of the park, there's really no way to get around to the other side (Frontierland to Tommorowland, for example, seems out of the question).

I was think critter country, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Adventureland side would be the better choice for us since there are a variety of family favorites there.
But would the F! crowds impede our ability to move around even within this "side" of the park?

In a nutshell, can anyone suggest the bottlenecks and places to avoid when parades and fireworks are on, and the immediate time leading up to and after these events?
And are there any short cuts, back routes that i might not be considering?

thanks!

I'm guessing you're asking about the times when F! and PtN are both around 8:45 pm and then followed by fireworks at 9:30 pm because otherwise, if the show isn't actively happening, it's not that bad to move around the park as long as you go with the flow of traffic and follow the CMs' instructions. Right after the shows end, it can be very chaotic.

I would avoid the Adventureland and Frontierland right after F! ends and/or fireworks. They will often institute one way traffic so that guests enter the Rivers of America area via Frontierland and exit via Adventureland. So if you wanted to do anything in Adventureland/NOS/Critter Country area, I would make sure you're already in those lands before F! and/or fireworks ends.

I would not try to get from one side of the park to the other during the parade. There is only one or two parade breaks and they aren't very long. So you might not make it across the route.

For places to avoid:

The hub in front of the castle gets really packed and becomes one way traffic. CM's direct traffic counter clockwise, so if you are going from Frontierland to Tomorrowland, you head towards Main Street first then enter Tomorrowland. And you can't cut through where the Partners statue is either.

After fireworks before the 2nd showing of F!, traffic entering Frontierland or Adventureland gets really packed. I was trying to get though Frontierland during this time, and they stopped incoming traffic until a majority of the F! guest left.

Fantasyland attractions are closed during the fireworks.

I think it would be best to stay in one area to be able to get most rides. Tomorrowland might be good, no extra traffic from F! and they have a good amount of rides there.

Hope this helps. Have fun!

Agree with this. When it's time for F! and the parades, we get over to Tomorrowland side and stay there until everything has cleared out. This way you have all of the Tomorrowland rides plus Matterhorn. We try to avoid the other side of the park at this time.
