Max pass?

We haven’t been to DisneyLand in 10 years. We will have a party of 5. My husband and I and our 3 kids. Do we all need the Max Pass or just my husband who will be the one doing the fast passes for all of us. It would be $10 vs $50 so just curious.
We are going in July, 2019.

If everyone in your group will be using digital FP (= MP), then everyone in your group will need to purchase MP. So, $50 it is. If your group will be using non-digital FP (free at the FP machines), but you want the free PP that comes with MP, then buy MP for your husband so he can purchase all the ride photos and M&G photos. But have him use the FP machines with the rest of you so that all your rerturn times match.

I would vote for the extra $50 a day for Max Pass. It is SO convenient. Anticipate big crowds with Star Wars probably opening in June and I'd guess Max Pass is a must. I was really hesitant to drop an extra $70/day on our trip last summer but it was totally worth it. It'll be even more important once Star Wars opens!

We did max pass some days and not others - it’s nice to be able to add max pass as needed and to only the people in the party who need it! But it was definitely worth it for the photos and convenience
