Day1-----Monday September 23, 2008. Limo arives 15 minutes early around 645am and we were to leave at 700am. Had to carry all 7 bags plus carry on to the limo.(Over packed just a little..lol) The limo driver couldn't believe that our street was so small since we live in the city and everything is all packed together. The kids loved the limo!! We couldnt figure out how to turn the volume on for the dvd player but still had the little mermaid playing. We had the neon light on the ceiling on and had water and soda while driving to the airport. It was a nice day driving over the bay bridge and seeing the golden gate bridge and San Francisco.
Got to the airport and was saying goodbye to California! Our first flight was from Oakland, CA to Dever, CO. The kids had fun going on the moving sidewalk and Victor was checking out all of the planes leaving from the window until our flight arrived. We were able to sit in the front so we had plenty of leg room and Victor could stretch during the flight and didnt have to worry about kicking the person in front of us. The only thing is that there is no trays in the front and no place to store your luggage in front of you.
Made it to Denver with no problems!
Then it was time for Denver to Orlando!!! I took a Bonine before the flight and it made me REALLY sleepy so all I remember was on and off sleep and looking out of the window when we got to Orlando.
Victor loved the air tram that brought us to the luggage. We saw a lady holding a sign with Victor's name and I hate to say that I was a blubber baby but tears came to my eyes since his wish was finally here!!!! The lady got us a luggage cart which was a big help with all of our luggage and we went to get the rental car with her. We were able to get a chevy uplander van and Victor had a booster seat rented with the car and Sasha was big enough to not need one in Florida which was a little scary for me! A little tip for those on your wish trip......
Avis had a water cooler next to the booth in the corner hidden so look for it if you are thirsty! It sure helped us since it was fairly hot for us when we arrived at 830pm.
The lady gave us the direction which was also on the back of Victor's sign. Make sure to have lots of quarters for the toll especially the toll booths that have no attendants.
About a 30 minute drive or so we made it to Give Kids The World!!!! Very easy to find bass road since there is a
walmart super store at the corner of 192. It was a little hard for us to find the place since the sign didn't have a light and it is a dark road. It is all gated and someone was there at the gate and if not then you can press the intercom system 24 hours. We were welcomed in and will not give out any surprises! The lady took Sasha, Victor and I in a golf cart which she had to clean off because it was raining earlier and drove us to our villa. Our villa was close to the place that had the horse korral and was close to the new villas that were being built. We couldn't believe that it was green and pink and that is Victor and Sasha's favorite colors!! We saw our first lizard trying to enter, wow, they are fast. Victor was told that it was his house and he said it every day of the trip that it was "Victor's house"
The village provided us with firehouse sandwiches since we missed dinner. We also had a little while before the pizza was over so we ordered a pizza.
Off to bed we went for our upcoming disney day and for me to go to orientation early around 9am.
