If you didn't know who was your child's father, would you go on Maury to find out? Second question, would you go on the show to tell your mate that you cheated. The one thing that I don't understand is how many people do some of these folks sleep with within a months time? What is wrong?

NO KIDDING!!! Youre speaking my words Ive said so many times....

ESPECIALLY when it turns out its not the first guy they test, or the 2nd, or the 3rd, or the 4th........ you get the idea!

From your thread title, I thought that maybe you had an opportunity to go on the show and wanted to know our opinions on it!

MIL neighbors were paid to pretend to be someone/something for that show.
they were none of the above either..so how real and truthful is it anyway.

I kind of figured things like that happened. Most of the time when something emotional is on the show, it is nothing but screaming and yelling, no tears are flowing. I'm sorry, but I'm like, come on people, someone needs to start crying. I'm sure alot of it is fake!!!

Also, every single time I flip by his show, its a paternity show. How is his show still on the air?

I don't usually watch Maury, but DH was off for a week and he watched every morning, and I would watch with him.

One episode had a couple on where the woman was saying how her husband was super controlling (told her what to eat, what to wear, etc )

A few weeks later, wouldn't you know it, these people were checking in at the airport in front of us. And if anything it was the woman who was bossing her husband around. I don't believe these shows for a minute, it's just pure entertainment in my opinion

I've come to the conclusion that the reason they go on Maury is for protection....because if they sat down calmly and explained to their SO what they had done and didn't know who the father was they would probably be uhm.....roughed up. So by going on Maury although they might look rotten in everyone's eyes at least they are safe....

My BIL went on a talk show and I refused to watch it. My DH said don't do it about a hundred times but he really wanted to do it and see what "Someone from Your Past Wants to See You Again!" was all about. He didn't tell my MIL and FIL and one of their friends saw him on TV and called them to tell them their son was on the show, WOWZA! Boy did the S*** hit the fan then...

He ended up being Talk Soup Clip of the Week!

I was so glad I never watched it, that way I never had to talk to anyone about it.

I have often wondered about the whole Maury guest thing. I flip past it once in awhile and am always amazed. WHERE do they FIND these people???
