Matthew's Make a wish Disney Trip March 30th - April 5th

We have three sons:
Bradley 6-01-96
Steven 12-22-98
Matthew 11-06-04

Our youngest son Matthew has been diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease Complex I & III along with several other medical conditions. He endured over 2 years of hospital visits and intense testing before we finally got a diagnosis in April of 2008.
He is very small for his age(he's 4) and is the size of a typical 18 month old child. He only weighs 22 pounds despite getting over 1200 calories a day. Because of his size and weak muscles, he is easily knocked over by other children. He prefers quiet play.
Matthew's wish was approved in the fall of 2008. He wished for two things: To have the biggest lollipop in the world and to eat with the princesses at Disney World. We were told that Matthew will be dressed as a prince when he eats with the princesses. He is so excited.

We will be leaving for our trip on March 30th-April 5th.

I read Matthews caring bridge site last night some...you guys have certainly been through a lot! I know you will have an awesome trip.

I can't wait to see how big that lollipop is! What a creative wish.

Matthew's "wish ladies" are stopping by tonight to bring him his "Prince Outfit". It's a white tux with a crown. He is going to love it. He is going to be dressed as a prince when he eats with the princesses..

He is getting a three pound lollipop. It will probably be even too heavy for him to hold. The huge round lollipops that you normally see at candy stores are only 7 ounces. This one is going to be huge.

His tux came and it is super cute. I took a few pictures of Matthew in it , but I can't figure out how to upload them to this forum. His "wish ladies" also said that they will be delivering white shoes, a purple prince robe, and a crown soon.

OMG, how cute is that going to be...I can't wait to see pictures. The camera loves Matthew anyway, so every picture of him is just so sweet.

Matthew's little white "Prince " shoes were delivered today. He was so excited. His wish ladies told us that they will be leaving gifts from now until his trip. They attach a letter to Matthew with each gift. It's wonderful.
