Saturday I am leaving for my first trip to DL! Is there any chance that the Matterhorn will be open this weekend? Thanks

No. The refurb has no opening date yet, which means it will be awhile.

My first trip to DL and I won't be able to ride the Matterhorn. I'm a little bummed out but it gives me a reason to go back!

What's the refurb doing? Is it to get fast pass set up? I'm worried that single rider no longer be available to make room for fast pass lines.

Hopefully they will merge the FP and Standby queues at the area just before you choose left or right track. This would not interfere with the SR, would still allow people to choose which track, and makes sense in that most FP queues have a merge point that still requires some wait.

How 'spot on' are those opening dates? Do they give themselves extra time or do they go over pretty often? 27th is the second to last day in the parks for us. Crossing my fingers but doubtful!

I'm so sad it's closed when we're there 3/17. I absolutely love the Matterhorn.

I hope they keep single rider. That's the only way we ride it anymore!

A longer refurb could have a soft opening, but not one of this short length. However, that date isn't confirmed by Disney, so it's too soon to say.
