I hate math! I hate it with every fiber of my being.
I mean, I'm good at it (A+, A average; Pre-Algebra/8th grade math while I'm in 7th grade) but I still hate it.
My teacher is ok. She yells at us a lot, but we actually learn stuff.
However, there are some people who actually do like it.
How, I will never know, but there are some.

So, does anybody like math?

If not, why not? It's incredibly confusing and I think it's hard.
What grade math are you in? Algebra II.
Do you like your math teacher? Sure do.

Our math teacher is funny and pretty laid back.
I usually get when he's teaching it, but after that I just can't do it.
I'm great at the homework assignments, I'm just horrible at tests.

I like the Chemistry stuff were doing in Science that has to do with math though.

Okay, so here's what my Math teacher does:
*She reviews yesterday's lesson for 30 minutes (leaving 10 minutes for the new lesson
*She gives us a lot of homework and doesn't even grade it herself
*Sometimes she gives us homework on stuff she didn't even teach us about
*On certain days like today she lets the homework "slide" and you still get full credit the next day. That's not very fair, now is it?

While I may find math boring in class, out of class it's fun and it calms me down. If I'm in the middle of a huge rant, I start to work my way through the Fibonacci Sequence (the numbers associated with Phi), recite Pi (I'm up to about 15 digits!), or I just stop and do simple addition. But now that we're learning Trigonometry in my class, I've been starting to do radians to degrees conversions instead.

I use it for track, too. If I'm running and I need to distract myself, out comes Fibonacci and when I'm throwing, I say my times tables and my perfect squares (and occasionally I find square roots).

My friends and I play "Prime/Not Prime" on occasion, too.

Geometry I hate, but Algebra and advanced Math Theory are wicked fun.

So, does anybody like math? Not really.
If not, why not? Mostly because the class is repetitive. We do a thousand questions on the same thing, and they don't get harder. And because I hate working things out with numbers.
What grade math are you in? 9
Do you like your math teacher? She's a nut. I like her jokes, and stuff, but she's not a good teacher. She has a disability that makes it hard for her to write things down properly (like you say ice cream she writes random letters), she loses track easily, and if people annoy her enough she says 'That's it, I'm done teaching because you don't want to listen.' Sure that's fine for them, but I WANT TO LEARN. And she's kind of intimidating, she's so random, and had has odd beliefs, you're afraid to ask her questions because she might burst out with something odd...

What grade math are you in?I'm a junior in an all freshmen math class but that's because it's Algebra 2 Honors so it's all the really smart freshmen. I wasn't on the honors track freshman and sophomore year and I was put in it this year.

I don't understand how accountants and bankers and book keepers survive.

No joking at all, totally seriously, i can say without a moment of hesitation that I would shoot myself in the face before I gave myself over to a life time career of math.

The only math I like is Trigonometry.

It doesn't really bother me.
I mean, it's no cup of tea, but it's not like I dread going to that class or anything.
I'm in Algebra II. My school's dumb, and it goes Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II.

I finished Algebra in middle school, since I was in the advanced class, so I completely forgot most algebraic equations by the time Algebra II rolled around.
Stupid school system.

If not, why not? If it were a person, it would be my arch nemesis. I don't understand a single thing, I have to have tutors and work so hard at it to just get a D or C, it confuses me and It seems no matter what I do, I never get it.
What grade math are you in? 10th grade, Geometry. Did algebra last year, hated it too.
Do you like your math teacher? I'm homeschooled, but do online and I like her a lot.
Is your math teacher the reason that you do or do not like math? No. I just don't get it at all. I didn't really like my teacher last year though, she was never really helpful. She would try and she always got it, but she went very fast and was always busy helping someone.
