Matchbooks? What are these for?

Wow, I have been scrapping for 6 years now and it just amazes me when I realize all there is out there that I don't know about. What are matchbooks for? Is it a pad of paper? Or are they like little mini-albums? Wh-wh-wha'???

I have the bg fusion match box. it's a cute little album actually. They are good for quick gifts for example. I may get some more for the southern region Oireachtas (irish dance) and make books for all the girls going (or at least the one's in kate's groups). maggie

Here is an AWESOME matchbook that someone on 2Peas did. I was browsing their gallery one day and came across it - it's really neat!

There are of course more examples in their gallery and you can do a search using Matchbooks as the term, but this one really stood out for me!

Matchbooks can be used for a variety of things. I like to decorate a few use as embellishments and put hidden journaling inside with small quotes of just words. I also love to use the decorative ones (from My Mind's Eye) for cards. Cute and quick.

I just looked at the link mentioned by the OP. I thought doing a 4"x6" book earlier this year was small, but these are even smaller (4" x 4 1/2")! How time can we these sb get ?
