Massive thunderstorm!

10 minutes ago it was bright sunshine here and now it's tipping it down and a massive crack of thunder just scared the living daylights out of me

I'm not normally scared of storms but I must admit it's a bit unnerving being on my own - it's gone really dark

I was woken this morning by the sound of thunder, its not been as nice here today sadly.

We had a huge one here this morning at about 6am. I usually like thunderstorms but this one had me a bit unnerved too. It seemed too odd in a way - like nature couldn't get it quite right. The rain lashed down and the thunder and lightning was relentless. It sounded too close for comfort. Weird weather as it's sunny here now.

Looks like the SW are in for quite an evening. Friend from Devon has posted on Facebook about a storm near her at the moment. Must say here in Sussex it was very warm this afternoon with quite a breeze picking up.

I only heard one rumble of thunder early this morning - but it chucked it down with rain. It's lovely now

we had thunder and lightening this morning at about 8.45am - only just clearing up now and its beautiful!

Its just started to get dark here, I hope you are ok Joh, and didn't get too freaked by being on your own.

It passed over quite quickly and is now completely dry outside - it's as if it never happened

We had a lot of rain over night and this morning but its been dry for the latter part of the day, very strong winds though. We never seem to get and thunder here.
