Massive flooding in KY

Massive flooding reported along the I64 corridor through KY overnight. Unconfirmed that 3 people have been swept away by flood waters in Lexington. Water rescues are currently under way in many counties. Entire towns have been cut off due to water. Please say a prayer as this is widespread throughout the state.

I had no idea it was raining like that in KY! Prayers said. Flooding is a scary, dangerous thing!

Had no idea the storms would be that bad. Talked to my Mom last night (she's 80 miles south of Lexington), and she mentioned possiblility of some storms north of her. Thankfully, she is in a really high area of Ky. Hope everyone in the hard hit areas is okay!

We woke up this morning to our bridge across the drive being almost totally wiped out. There was also a huge tree trunk across it from a flash flood during the night and our barn sustained heavy damage from the creek, too. Our house is way up on a hill so we are all safe and dry! Unfortunately, more rain and possibly heavy storms are heading this way. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

I'm in Lexington.

Dh is at his office right now after getting a call that it is flooded. I heard that two girls were swept away in the water by Lafayette High, but I haven't been able to confirm this. Do you know anything about it? I did see a news account that two women drowned on Nicholasville Road last night.

I was out on the road and a couple of hours ago and the hwy I was on closed and I had to detour. As I was driving on the detour, the police showed up to close that road. And I was supposed to be at a picnic this afternoon!

I did see on the news that two women who were most likely UK students were confirmed dead after being swept into the storm drainage ditch on Nicholasville road. Also a Jessamine County woman died after her car was swept off the road. What terrible news.
