Has anyone ever stayed at Massanutten Resort in Va?

What time of year did you go?

What was it like?

Have you gone back?

Thanks!

I have not been yet. My friend has a time share there (best I can understand it) and has been inviting us to go. They go every year and just love it. Sorry I can't give you any real details or personal experience. They go every year I'd say around April and like I said they just LOVE it.

We have taken day trips to the waterpark @ Massanutten - I highly recommend it! Super fun, lots of different things to do, my girls love it! I have not stayed there as we only live an hour and 15 mins away. I hear it's nice, however. :goodvibes

I have stayed there about 6 years ago during Labor Day week. The unit we were in was a 2 bedroom and it was very nice. Other people we met there said there unit was not as nice as ours. There are many different sections. That being said, choose carefully. The outdoor pool is very nice. There is an indoor waterpark there that was under construction when we were there. The resorts is huge and requires a car to get around. There are a lot of things to do. Horseback riding, canoeing etc. Limited number of restauants. I have not returned. My kids are 19 and 15. There is not enough for them to do there to keep them interested for an entire week.

We "visited" on a weeked time share promo. It is a nice resort. We visited in winter with the plan of skiing all day Saturday. Unfortunately the actual tour took MUCH longer than we expected (or were told), so we settled for snow tubing. Our family enjoyed it. If you enjoy golf I think it would be a very nice resort during the other 3 seasons. Kids enjoy the water options and the horses.

I can see Massanutten Peak from my front window! We have visited Mass. but not stayed there - we have been regular visitors to the water park - very fun! You definitely need a car - I think they are typical timeshare rooms - building new ones all the time... I'm been in a few of the units with my notary business - and they look pretty standard - nice furnishings - but they didn't strike me as over the top with amenities as some I have seen in Florida. They do have a golf course, horseback riding - mini-golf and a go-kart track... lots of hiking trails, etc. Not to mention it's BEAUTIFUL!! Harrisonburg is the nearest "town" (I work in Harrisonburg) - we have most of the common shopping places - WM, Target, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, etc. We are lacking (IMO) on upper chain restaurants - no Olive Garden, TGIFridays - but most of the other standard table service and fast food chains. There is a Food Lion pretty close to the resort to make a grocery run. Hope that helps a little. I'll be glad to help with any other questions that I can.

Can you go for just they day? We're only a few hours away, but I assumed it was like Great Wolf Lodge and you needed to pay hundreds of dollars for the hotel.
