I saw this from a website.

At C. Cay, "Serenity Beach is the adults-only beach with massage huts; you can take a tram there."

Is that the only place I can get a massage on the island?
Did anyone get a massage there? What was your experience?
Does anybody know the price list?

Hi! I just got home, and you can also get a massage on the ship, it is a tiny bit cheaper. I was going to get one to give as a gift to my sis, but I chose to NOT spend the $140 or so dollars on the one that they do on Castaway Cay!!!

I had one on Castaway Cay. Had one of the first reservation times. First of all I wasn't even sure where it was and I was lugging our beach stuff. The brochure made it look like it was in the open with a roof but no walls. It is actually in a small raised hut with little propped open windows. Then when I was done I had to lug my stuff to the beach and find a chair. It was not worth the money. It is not like having a massage out on the beach. You're not even near the water. It would have been more relaxing having the massage on the ship. I would not do another one on CC. Next time I will do something in the ship's spa.

That is too bad but I am glad to learn about it. I almost booked a castaway cay massage but decided to do it on the ship while at sea. The ads for it definately portray that massages are given in these open aired, seaside huts.

Once upon a time they used to do "open air" massages under canopies over at the far end of the family beach. They discontinued that a long time ago, but maybe the pictures are still from that. Those were offered in addition to the huts on the adult beach, and a lot of people got confused about the location and missed their appointment times. One advantage to the huts is that they have fans inside them, making for more comfort than a tent on a muggy day (and decreasing any bugs that might be lurking around).

i had a cabana massage on our trip last dec -- i think my appt was around 10 a.m b/c I didn't want to have to roll out of bed too early. anyhow -- i felt like I lost a big chunk of my precious CC day and though the massage was wonderful, listening to the ocean, etc - i won't book on CC again but rather on the ship.

DH and I booked a couple's massage at 9 or 9:30 on CC (side note: we were first in line to board at the terminal and he ran to the spa while I did Palo ressies). We had to stop and drop off the kids at the kid's club on the island (he did it while the rest of us walked to the tram to the adult beach and then he jogged to catch up). The massage hut was very nice, it was VERY relaxing and we really enjoyed it.

However, we wish they had a gazillion huts so you could stay there and sleep for a bit afterwards LOL! We got dressed, pulled ourselves together and wandered the adult beach for a few minutes, but then headed back to the family beach.

We did enjoy it, but it does eat into your time on the island.

It does eat into your CC time. And, I don't want to think about having to be somewhere at a certain time while on CC. I didn't see any view at all when I was having my CC massage. I might as well have been on the ship. Of course, if I had stood up at the window of the hut I might have seen something.

We had a couples massage on the the ship this past July (first massage ever for both of us!). It was wonderful!! The reason we chose the ship over CC was what has been mentioned-we did not want to take any CC time away. Plus, will you really be looking at the view?? I know my eyes were closed the entire time!We did it on the second at sea day. After the massage, we just continued to be relaxed throughout the day on the ship, stay in A/C if we wished....actually, I think we went to those great chairs on Deck 4 and took a nap! ;)

I had a fabulous cabana massage on our trip this past month. It was incredibly relaxing and it felt wonderful to be right by the beach. It was expensive, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. :smooth:

I'm just back today and I splurged for the Cabana Massage on CC and I thought it was lovely. It cost $139. I had a 10am appointment which I believe was the earliest you could get. We had to meet at the Vista spa at 9:15am and then we left as a group to make it on time. There was quite a bit of rain at that part of the morning as we headed to the adult beach.

We walked to the second tram and then took the tram to Serenity Bay. We arrived around 9:45am and some of the people were able to get started immediately. There were about 3 of us who had to wait until 10am in a driving rain storm and there was nowhere for us to that provided good shelter from the rain.

The actual massage was very nice. It is an open air hut but the rain did come in (because it was so forceful). I honestly didn't mind because it was a warm rain and a nice contrast to the massage.

I am really glad I splurged on this experience. It was wonderful. By the time the massage was over the rain ended, so I headed to the family beach to meet with my family. I did feel as though, I still had plenty of time on CC. Since it rained the hut wasn't muggy at all. I highly recommend this, especially if you book it early in the day.
