Hi everyone...so i got to thinking about your emails and letters and phone calls and whatnot, and realized that i am more than ABLE to send out many letters. I am able to make the necessary copies, or prints, as well as stamps (money is no object here) and envelopes. So if anyone is interested, and would like me to mail in a copy of their letter(s) for them, i'd be more than happy. I was planning on sending letters every day from now until even AFTER the may 21 apocalypse, and of course sending duplicates of the letters, just to make our cause more known. If anyone has pictures they want me to send along instead of a letter, or with a letter, post those on here, and i'll do that too. So if you'd like, PM your message, or post it on here, and i'd be more than happy to help the cause!!!

I think this is an awesome idea. Thanks for volunteering! I will be sure to pm a letter from me! :thumbsup2

great...i'll be sure to include that with the mailings. i'll send it separate and with a letter...so depending on how many responses i get to this...well forget that, i'll just keep sending every day as many as i possibly can. i went around the net and found a bunch of addresses i'm going to send to, including Bob Iger. i know he'll never see an ounce of the letters, but maybe someone reading them might say something to him. Mickey Ears Crossed! hehe

Has anyone ever thought to contact the newspapers? I'm sure ppl would like to hear how Disney is destroying families all over the world. :(

In terms of TV stations, CNN, MSNBC and Co., Fox, amd CBS would probably LOVE to know about the number of heartbroken Disney fans/outraged Disney customers. They are competitors with ABC (a Disney owned channel), after all, and almost anything that's bad for the Mouse is good for them.

What a wonderful and thoughtful offer.

I woke up hoping that it was just some horrible nightmare, only to find that it was just 1 more day closer to the closing.

I will write something today and PM.

Thank you again!!

Hey DREAMYTIME!! It's Boy (tomorrow) ;-) haha
Anyway...thank you to the few who sent me their letters, i'm really hoping for more!!! I put everything together today, printed, labeled, and whatnot, i just have a few envelopes left to stuff.
as for the news end of notifying...i am including with the mailing a certified return receipt package that is being mailed to the Editors at the Orlando Sentinel, that includes a letter from me informing them of our cause, as well as 2 or 3 screenshots from yesterday, and 7 letters i've received. So i got my fingers crossed they post something in the paper or online.

Neat idea! I'll be sure to PM you a letter soon. I'll do as much as I can to try to save VMK.

So here's my mailing so far...i have 16 of the big envelopes (manila), 23 of the smaller (manila) envelopes, and 73 of the regular letter sized envelopes..

it is dedication like this that will keep VMK alive! you will be hearing from me soon!

i wrote this to CNN earlier today. Please use this in any way possible to help spread the word!

The Disney Corporation is turning its back on their loyal customers. Virtual Magic Kingdom (VMK) is a free online game, but to all who play, it is not just a game. It is a mode for parents to connect with their children, a motivation for children to stay off the streets and out of trouble, and it is also a safe way to teach children how to be good citizens before they get out into the real world. However, Disney Internet Group does not care about how much the site means to its over a quarter of a million players! It blatantly ignores please from people young and old to keep the site running. All they seem to care about is the revenue. I understand from a business perspective the cost of things is important, but they should consider the cost to the children as well. Nearly everyone who plays VMK currently is willing to pay to keep it open; the only ones who would not are those who can not afford it. There is such an out pouring of sentiment about this issue on various sites dedicated to keeping VMK alive. Many of the contacts to Disney that we have available to us as customers have been blocked off since VMK recently reported its up coming closure on May 21, 2008. I only hope my plea to you will not also fall on deaf ears. VMK has become like a family to us… a network, a support group… that would be lost because of the disregard of a few people. Please, help spread the word and make the facts known about this issue that means so much too so many people.

I just wanted to say I just sent this in the FOX News Tip Line and I also added a bit to it. I also was send a reply back saying Thank You and that they woul check into it. So lets keep our fingers crossed... IF we can get this story on the news we might really get somewhere.
I think the more people that also send this or a letter of their own into the tip line would help!! I just looked up Fod News on googled and then clicked on Shard Smith's page and wrote in the little box where it says tip line!

I'm going to fight for vmk for as long as I can!!!

I also would like to add... that there are people from 4 74 who play this game... there are people who have medical problems who enjoy this game... this game has become a place for family to spend time with each other. So I ask that you please take the time to maybe let your viewers hear what Disney is doing! We would just like a chance to keep it going even if we have to pay for it!

Thank You for any help you can getting the word out!

A very SAD vmk fan
