No one was judging anyone else. Just trying to relay the correct facts.
So many people get all bound in a ball when you do so. It's the same for everything else in the world but most people get tightly wound when "religion" comes up. I just try to put out the real deal and whatever someone decides to do is up to them.
But this is the case with so many other threads - off the original topic and/or question. It was posted by someone that something missing mass for that week would be okay. That statement needed to be corrected that's all. What is so wrong with that? If someone states something as incorrect in any other thread do they always get the "this is off-topic" blurb? I am new here so I haven't noticed too many of those yet. And some topics that I have looked at have been off from the original post.
If someone said that you could go to Liberty Tree Tavern on certain days and get 40% off of your meal and no one corrected them it wouldn't be right. A little different situation used as example. Lots of people have questions regarding the new AP system, lots of questions - VARIETY of answers - variety of opinions. The case for Sunday obligation just happens to have a set a guidelines to go by - the Catechism of the Catholic Church - as was stated. I do understand that this is not a religious forum and do not plan to use it as such. If one wants that they have plenty of sites available for them to go to.
I'm not interested in debating anyone. To each his own. But there is a lot of wrong information out there, most of it spread by misinformed Catholics who honestly just don't know the facts. If someone posts something that is false about our faith, and what is or is not permissable, the record should be set straight. That's all. End of discussion.
