Even if they did something like the temp checks,,,, if you dont want to volunteer your vaccination status no problem, you can still enjoy the parks but you get to do so with a mask on. Those of us willing to show our vaccination can get a wrist band allowing us to go mask free. Win Win.

Not really. Businesses can still require masks. Businesses can still make rules on their own.

I think pp was referring to requiring proof of vaccination, not a mask requirement. That’s where the all or nothing comes in.

This isn't a true statement. DeSantis signed some executive order to make it illegal to require a vaccination passport. He also made it illegal for Florida businesses to create them. But that's not the same as showing your vaccine card or requiring negative tests. I highly doubt WDW would start looking at vaccination cards or require testing, but they can if they feel they need to for their guests and cast members.

The biggest problem is it's an honor system, and not everyone is honorable. The CDC guidelines are clear - less mask wearing needed for those who are fully vaccinated. Masks still needed to those not vaccinated - whether it's by choice or perhaps a doctor's recommendation to not get it.

For what it is worth, just did a quick google search. According to at least one law expert states businesses can ask for proof of vaccine. As it lead to providing a safe environment.

Not exactly right. The law says businesses cannot require patrons to have a vaccination or a record of vaccination to "participate in society". Thats NOT what this is. There is no litmus test to go to the parks, feel free to walk around the parks with a mask on. Volunteering your vaccination status is different, and just like getting a wrist band after your temp check this would allow you to walk around without a mask on.

Yes, that's been the primary reason. They've also shown via research it can help the wearer. But if non-vac folks walk around now without a mask, they can spread/get the virus as easily as they could have for the entire past year of the pandemic.

They did temp checks back in Nov and I am sure they are still doing them. I think it would be some sort of hipaa violation to ask for medical status. Also where do you draw the line with kids and vaccines. I wouldn't get my 3yr old vaccinated at this particular point.

Temp checks are being discontinued. Temp checks for cast members ended last week. I believe the end at the end of this week for guests.

Thats not how HIPAA works. You can volunteer whatever you want.

I think this is the final push to get folks vaccinated than its gonna be free range on them either getting sick or being fine.

So you'd be asking them to volunteer information or be segregated. I don't think that would be very popular especially with kids and them having to wear a mask. Not to mention how easy it is to get a fake vaccine card. While am vaccinated I completely and utterly respect one's choice to not get this particular vaccine at this particular time. Its their body and their choice...…Let's all hope it don't come to that. Again am protected by the vaccine so I do not concern myself with what other chose to do. If they get covid so be it, its on them, their choice....... still an extremely high recovery rate last I checked.

However I understand the concern for another outbreak/lockdowns. Let's just hope and pray enough folks are vaccinated to have turned that corner and another outbreak never occurs again......ever....!

It is already thought that a covid shot may have to be a yearly thing, just like a flu shot.
