Of all the Olsen actresses, I'd have to go with the late Barbara Olsen. While not an actress by trade, she sure had some great performances in her career, especially when they had to do with tthe Clintons.

The Olsens' full house could soon be an empty nest, if you believe the Web rumors.

Claims that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have applied and been admitted to various colleges, including Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Cincinnati, University of Miami and University of Dayton, have run rampant on the Web this week.

But before you consider transferring to one of these fine colleges based on the Olsens' attendance (à la Felicity chasing Ben cross-country), beware: The matriculation stories are bunk, according to the twins' publicist, Michael Pagnotta.

The colleges' admissions boards were swamped with calls when emails linked to a phony CNN Website announced the Olsens had been admitted to various schools. The site has since been removed from the Web.

An email announcing the Olsens' acceptance to Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York said the twins picked the school for its strong academic reputation and excellent business program. Pagnotta was falsely quoted as saying the girls were looking "for a school where they would not be distracted by the glitz of Hollywood and could focus on long term career goals."

Instead, the former Full House stars, who are only high school juniors, are "studying for their SATs," says the real Pagnotta. The rep confirmed that the 16-year-old twins, who still live with their mother, "are considering an East Coast college but haven't made any decisions yet."

(U-WIRE) EVANSTON, Ill. — In an episode some called frightening, others exciting and most just hysterical, false rumors shot around Northwestern University's campus Monday night that child superstars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen would become Wildcats next fall.

"For a good five or 10 minutes, I believed," said communication sophomore Matt Hall, who, like others across campus, received an e-mail linking to a spoofed CNN.com news story with the announcement.

Similar stories about the Olsen twins were sent around Miami University (Ohio) and Ohio University. The articles were created using The Fake CNN.com News Generator.

A little research revealed the twins aren't even of college age.

"None of it's true," said Michael Pagnotta, a public relations representative for Dualstar Entertainment Group, which manages the twins famous for their joint portrayal of the adorable Michelle Tanner in the sitcom Full House.

My 13 year old son is partial to the actresses on the Disney Channel. His question would be, who's cuter....Hilary Duff or Cristy Romano? (They probably both act better than the Olsons).

I agree with the Hilary Duff choice, she's adorable and I think we'll hear from her a lot in the future. As far as the Olsen Twins, can't say which is the better actress but my 8 year old DD loves their movies and I appreciate the fact they make movies I will allow her to watch. They dress and act appropriate for their age, don't curse or act disrespectful and provide a role model in a way Britney and Christina, et al do not.
