Wasn't feeling 100 percent this morning, so just opted for a light breakfast from food
and fun center. Had a bagel and some juice, I was feeling better in no time. This is a full
Epcot day. Oh, I forgot to mention in my earlier posts that on this trip I really got into the
whole pin collecting, my first one was one of the interactive pins that go off during the parades
and on certain rides, they were alot of fun. I purchased 12 pins on this trip. In case anyone is
interested the real hot item is the red, white & blue mickey ears, they are very hard to get now. We looked all week, ended up finding them in the Marketplace on our last full day.
Back to Epcot, after FW opened at 10am we went straight to test track to ride it again, them went to the energy pavilion, since it was down earlier in the week, It's one of my favs. at epcot, then went over to the Land for snacks, they have a great food court. The bakery at the
Land is sooo sinful, my hubby had a butterfinger cheesecake, I had a rice krispie treat. We
shopped a little and waited for WS to open. The plan today was not to have a big sit down meal, just sample alot of the F&W booth food, and that's what we did. Started with Mexico, Great quesadias, then did the little mexico boat ride to cool off, it was very hot Wed. from early on. Then next to Norway, I had a chocolate dream log, it was OK, I just can't resist anything that has chocolate in it. (MY weakness) Then we did the Norway ride, I get a kick out of this, ya gotta love the trolls. We then shared some type of cheese soup from the Ireland booth, it was just OK, very rich. Had some type of chicken on a skewer and a dumpling from
the China booth, it was pretty good. My favorite was the sugarcane chicken from the South Africa booth, is was very hot and spicy, and it came with a side of grits. Dave had some type of sausage from Argentina or Chile, I was to full to eat anymore. I did a little unplanned Xmas shopping from the American Pavilion, they had some very nice embroidered American eagle sweatshirts, So I got my bro. and sis in law thoses for Xmas gifts. We made it all around WS by 3pm, it wasn't to crowded that day, just very hot. Headed back to the CR for a long dip in the pool, and my feet were in desperate need of the jacuzzi. Speaking of the pool, I have never came across such attentive and hard working life guards as I did at the CR, they were constantly moving around and watching all. The soft white sand felt good on my sore feet.
We enjoyed in the mornings walking down to the end of the hotel docks and feeding the ducks. These were smart ducks, whenever you would go to the feed machine the came to you
very quickly, there were alot of baby ducks there to, sometimes they would go up by the pool, and the small children would try and catch them, that was quite funny to watch. That night we
took the boat to WL for a late dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe, we loved the atmosphere, alot of fun, but the food was pretty bad. Dave opted for the all you can eat meat skillet, I had the Mahi Mahi, frankly, I have had much better at Red Lobster. Daves meat was dry and didn't look very appetizing. The waiter was very nice, his name was "Hoppalong Higgins", I ordered a
smoothie with my meal, Dave just wanted a coke. He brought him out a 68oz. mason jar full of coke, that drew quite alot of stares. I think I would try this place again for lunch or breakfast maybe, but not for dinner again. I think we are strongly leaning towards the WL for next years trip.....Tomorrow is the MK day

Thanks for posting. I love to read about eating your way around the World. I'm so jealous. Maybe next year we will go.

I really enjoy reading all the trip reports that the dis people post on this site.......thanks again

Another great report! I hope to eventually make it to the Food and Wine Festival one year. I'd just love to eat my way around the world...Not like I don't do that enough at WDW...;) Sorry to hear you were disappointed with Whispering Canyon Cafe. I had a great pulled pork sandwich there earlier this year...Anyway, can't wait to read more!
