Attention Mary Blair fans: "The Magic and Flair of Mary Blair" is a small exhibit of Blair's paintings from Peter Pan, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo, and IASW which is currently being shown at The Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University (HILBERTMUSEUM.ORG, Tuesday - Saturday, 11 am - 5 pm, Free Admission, 714-516-5880). The exhibit has been extended through the end of the year, but will be closed for two week coming up -- so check to make sure about your dates. The Hilbert is about 15-20 minutes south of DLR using surface streets.
For those with kids, there is a Ruby's Diner right across the street.
There is also a fun scavenger hunt for everyone to play -- finding things in the paintings in the exhibit. There is a free prize if you complete the hunt!
This could be a fun thing to do on a break day from the parks. Old Town Orange is nearby with many restaurants and shops.
