I don't think they're selling all that well. No price increases since opening day and a lot of availability. IMO, the price is very high for a 7-night cruise. It works for us because there's no airfare or a pre- or post-cruise hotel stay and we had an OBB discount. It also helps that we won't spend money on excursions (other than food, etc., in WDW). All that being said, I'm really looking forward to this cruise - i think it will be awesome!

We're on the 8 night on 10/6 and availability is quite low, we only booked it about 2 months ago and the ocean view cabins had some slim pickings.

Good to hear your sailing is selling. I hope they all do. I would love to see DCL sail from NY more often. We're on the 10/14 sailing and when I search the DCL site, at least 8 cabins are available for nearly every category.

This makes me super excited as I wasn't expecting anything like this! We are on the 7-night Canadian Oct 21st cruise. I thought it would be a pretty standard cruise and I was really only looking forward to Prince Edward Island (Anne of GG fan), but now the Marvel Day at Sea makes me excited about the entire trip!! I hope this rivals Star Wars Day at Sea as we had a great time doing that!

I am on the 10/6 sailing and it sold well before Silver could even book. I keep checking for my first choice in cabin that was booked during Gold and Platinum booking. I think the 8 night booking is a better value at cost per night (for the 4 of us it was only 700 more than the seven day would be in the same category.)

This makes me especially happy with the decision we made for next fall not to do the cruises from NY and go with Princess to Hawaii instead. Was going to look to see if they had a *GT rate closer to the sailing dates if we could work out extra vacation time but now don't even have to worry about that! So not a Marvel or Star Wars fan!!

We bit. Had a 4 day late September cruise planned with a few days in WDW and we just moved our reservation to a 7 night Marvel Bahamian sailing. When I crunched the numbers spending 2 days at WDW/4N on Cruise cost about the same as this 7 day cruise. Besides we all know the cruise will be way more relaxing - all those days at sea woohoo! Should be a lot of fun. Hope to see plenty of fellow "disboarders" onboard!

Saw this announced on Good Morning America this morning. Sound great!!! I loved Captain America on the Magic and recently had my pic taken with Thor (ahhhh) on the Magic during the October 7th cruise.

Glad to "meet" someone else in my boat! TBH I refuse to think of them as part of Disney - I know in my head they are, but in my heart they will never be.

While they are under the Disney brand umbrella, they are definitely very distinct. I think it is totally ok to think of Disney in terms of parks and animated films and be a fan of those and dislike the other stuff. I actually enjoy both Marvel and Star Wars, but to me they don't feel like Disney either.
