Marvel Contract?

I hate to rain on your fantasy, especially because WDW is due for something in the next few years.

Disney Grownups announced last week that once DCA and Fantasyland construction is complete the only big construction will be in Hong Kong and China.

In US and Paris parks...no new parks, no new rides and no monorail projects (cars are already 2 years past 20 year replacement.)

We can dream but dozers will only be digging for DVC.....the cash cow.

Sad.

Avatarland has at least been announced.

Not sure when/if it will actually happen. But there you go.

The Guardians of the Galaxy and Inhumans both have big Marvel movies coming out sometime. They're not in use at Universal. - I sure hope that SEC filing from the 90s with MCA/Universal and their attraction Marvel Universe is the final contract. I'd love to see how that holds up in court against Disney lawyers.

If it comes down to lawyers, remember that this is not like Disney going up against a mom-and-pop company. Comcast is a big company with revenues higher then Disney and I bet they have thier own set of very skilled lawyers.

Also, if there ever was a dispute, it doesn't necessarily go to court. According to the contract disputes must be resolved through binding arbitration.

I think this one is firmly in the "if" column. and that's because its a "creative partnership" with another pain hollywood type.

i don't think the disney/ lucas partnership has been all that successful - not considering the time its been in place and the amount of cultural gravitas that the two movie franchises had both when they started and through the more recent "new phase"...

i can't really get on board until a construction schedule is set...until then its all merely conjecture. imagineering working on something doesn't really mean anything...they do that all the time without a bulldozer being gased up.
