We are traveling to WDW the Saturday night before MLK day. I spoke to a family member who suggested that Sunday might be a busy day at the theme parks since Monday is MLK Day. We were originally thinking of going to Sea world that Sunday or do you think I should heed my family member's advice and just hang out and/or play minigolf and save Sea World for MLK day itself?
We will have 4 days in Florida (Sun, Mon, Tues, and Wed.) and want to visit the Magic Kingdom and Sea World with our 4 yr old son.

Went that week 2 years ago. We arrived on Monday and Epcot at least was PACKED. People we talked to said the entire weekend (Sat-Mon) had been like that. However Tuesday-Thursday after MLK day the parks were DEAD. Waited once for Jungle Cruise (about 20 min) and once for Peter Pan (about 15 minutes) but those were both in the afternoon.

I have no idea about Sea World other than what I've read, but it doesn't seem to be a park where crowds affect it too much unless you're doing Krakken or big rides which it doesn't sound like you will be doing. I'd definitely do that either Sun or Mon and do Disney Tue and Wed. But if you're asking if Sun or Mon will be better at MK, I can't really say. My instinct would have been that Mon would be better since at some point people would be leaving, but when we were there it stayed crowded until closing that day.

Either way, it still won't be like Easter or anything and if you're at the park at opening, you should still be able to do a lot without worrying about the crowds. Good luck!
