Martin Bashir = Jerk

He betrayed Michael's trust in order to advance his career, and slanted Michael's actions into misrepresentations of the truth. For a person as shy as Michael to open up means a lot, and Bashir completely violated that trust and bashed Michael.

Michael Jackson does not have a sexual bone in his body, he loves children, and he would do anything to help them. If he sleeps with kids it's not as if he's having sex with them. What's wrong with Michael not growing up, he's not hurting Bashir by climbing a tree, but every innocent action that Michael did, Bashir turned it into a way to bash him.

The only thing that I didn't like about MJ was the placenta thing, but overall this made me feel that he is a much better person than anyone gives him credit for, and that Bashir is the scum of the earth. If I saw Bashir I'd spit in his face, what a lowlife.

Also, where is ABC's sense of journalistic integrity? This was the most one-sided feature I've seen in years. Apparently they forgot everything they've learned about journalism, I suggest they all go back to school.

I think the intereviewer had a pretty clear idea exactly who Michael Jackson is.

Did you see where he was feeding his baby, God, I thought that baby was going to fly off of his lap.

How many 44 year old men that you know have 'slumber parties' with little boys WITHOUT being locked up? That seems normal to you because he's Michael Jackson, if he wasn't Michael Jackson he's be in prison somewhere being somebody's *****.

No normal 44 y/o man has slumber parties with children, but Michael isn't normal. But he has done nothing but help the children of this world, and he gets treated like dirt.

Martin Bashir violated about every rule on journalistic ethics there is, I feel like crying for Michael.

I really wish Martin Bashir would come to Richmond though, what he did was pathetic.

While the interview was pretty one-sided, it raised questions in my mind as to what is going on. I always try to be open minded with my views of world, but there's no way he can honestly justify sharing his bed with young children. As ahhmom1 pointed out, any other man in this situation would be in jail before you can say "impropriety".

About the placenta thing, MJ was most likely mistaken by saying he left with the placenta on the baby. He said that the cord had been cut and left immediately so there was no placenta attatched to the baby, chances are if he left that fast the placenta wasn't even delivered yet. I'm guessing he just meant the fluids etc. that are on babies at birth. There are people who EAT the placenta and proud of it so even if he did leave with it, big deal. I really don't have much of an opinion about the rest. The journalist did seem to be making mountains out of mole hills on some issues.

It could be very true that he has slumber parties in sheer innocence and sees nothing wrong with it but we live in what society views as okay. I happen to think certain aspects of society are really silly and we need to get over some hangups BUT if I didn't follow the "rules" of society, I don't think I could get offended if people thought I was weird.

I think "cussing" is a silly concept and having words that are "bad" is ridiculous but you won't hear my kids cursing because it would go against the accepted grain of society. It would make me look like a bad parent regardless of my personal beliefs.

Didn't the family who accused MJ of molestation only sue civily? They didn't want to prosecute if they could get enough money. Personally, I would make sure anybody who molested my child was put away AND they would pay for it.

I have to agree with Joe here. While I'm not a MJ fan and have always considered him rather odd, I thought this British journalist twisted much of what Michael said. I was quite disappointed in the way the interview was handled. As for getting the women pregnant, as I recall Michael stated that it was his sperm for all the pregnancies. He never said he actually "did the act" so to speak. Maybe he did--or maybe there was artificial insemination involved. Who knows!!

I think Joe must be one of the brothers. Jamal or Teeto? or whatever there names are...

First of all, those children are not MJ's. They are blonde-headed. They do not have an ounce of African American in them (of course... neither does MJ at this juncture.)

MJ is obviously, painfully, mentally impaired. The children need to be taken away. I found it painful to watch these children herded around wearing masks and veils like some kind of freaks. Even the baby? When he's trying to take a bottle? It was very sad and disturbing.

I have to agree with Spago here, unless you have more personal information then what the media has provided, how can you slam down other posters (aahmom, mosmom) for their opinions?

Of course if you could provide us with some behind the scenes insight on your close personal friend Mike, maybe people's opinions would change. Nope, you're right, this is America. Where if you're a multi-millionaire you can buy your way out of child molestation charges.

I find it interesting that some people are willing to accept this kind of behavior out of someone merely because he's a very talented artist. Allow him his little eccentricities if you will. If this were you or me, we'd be in jail by now.

On one of the other channels played some interviews that Michael gave when he was 13. The funny thing is that his speaking voice was lower then and it sounded very normal. His current speaking voice is such a put on.

He needs help. I seriously doubt he makes it to fifty.

No offense, but I don't take the word of a man who paid millions to avoid a sex scandel. An INNOCENT person DOESN'T do that. Would you leave your kids alone with him? I sure as hell would not!!!! The guy is a freak and hope his kids are taken away.

You guys think when someone settles a case out of court it makes them guilty??? If I were Michael I would have done the same thing, it saved him from having to go through the tedious and painful court proceedings.

You people that keep using his children's race as a way to bash Michael, it is disgraceful, you are judging based on race, this should have NOTHING to do with ANYTHING.

And I'd probably let my kids go there, Michael is a child at heart and all the kids there seemed to be having fun. Michael hates sex, did you see the look on his face when talking about it? His relationship with children is about innocent love.

This interview was very revealing......it confirmed what most folks already knew......MJ is a freak.
