Martha's out!

.

I find it really funny that they said Joann's and Hobby Lobby are low end craft stores. That means Mike's is high end? Mike's is just the biggest, which means Martha is across the country, not just local regions...more profit for Martha's company.

I call for all scrapbookers to Unite!! Avoid the whole Martha line, and shop more at JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby!!! Our Michaels is a dump!!! Talk about floor to ceiling clutter!! If it wasn't for this board saying how improved the scrapbook lines have become at Michaels I wouldn't have shopped there. I gave it a chance and didn't like the product from Martha. Now I have something against Michaels in general for associating with someone so slimey!

I'm right with you Huge Mickey Fan...
I'm not a big fan of Mike's unless there is something on sale..
I'd prefer Jo's any day of the week... as we don't have a HL around here (about an hours drive to the closest one)...
I'll be at Jo's tomorrow.. debating on whether to stop in an look @ Mike's and than walk out with NOTHING just to make myself happy...

Ok, I went in tonight.. curosity was killing me..
I must say, I was extremely disappointed in the lack of color choices and her idea of "embellishments" and must haves! There was a selection at our store of about 10styles of 18 x 18 paper.. I was not the least bit impressed.. so it's a good thing I will NOT be wasting my money on her line!

DD noticed some kid projects in the middle kiosk aisle by MS and was like "MOM! Look how disgusting, gross and cheesy those things are! And the price... You can make something from all our scraps at home and we'd enjoy it more than that stuff!"... I went to further investigate and it was nothing more than a colored paper bag w/ the animal face cut outs and you just need to assemble.. it was 4.99! WHAT? I have all those items at home and can have more fun letting my kids be creative.. this is just my 2 cents...

I was at Mike's yesterday with my DD (7) and she wasn't even impressed with Martha's "stuff". I didn't see anything I would ever buy, especiallly an 18x18 book, give it six months and I bet Martha will be on the clearance rack :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I stopped by Michael's today and was not impressed. I did like some of her flowers but am not planning on buying them. The article was just plain rude, both from Martha Stewart and the reporter. I did e-mail her but will be very surprised to get a response.

The paper wasn't anything special and there was a huge album, mayben the 18 x 18 that was just ridiculous. There was some pretty wedding stuff that my daughter liked but she thought they were too expensive.

Martha's messed with the wrong group!
