Marrotts Grande Vista and Lakeshore Reserve

Hi all:
We are leaving next week for Disney yay us! We are staying one week in a 3 bedroom at grande vista and another week at Lakeshore Reserve in a 2 bedroom. If anyone has questions about the resorts that they want answered let me know and we will try to answer

We are staying at Grande Vista in late October/early November. I am about to call and request a certain building. If you get a chance while you're there, I would appreciate your take on the Plaza del Sol pool area and buildings 78, 79, 84, and 85 which surround that pool area. I'm trying to get a definitive answer as to whether those buildings have been recently renovated.

I've read other posts on here that talk about some buildings having been recently renovated, while others have not. We're just aiming for a renovated building close to a kid-friendly pool.

Those buildings on the West Village side of the resort, including 78, 79, 84, 85, are the newest that were built at Grande Vista - that whole set of buildings and the Plaza del Sol pool area were built in 2005-2006. Consequently, when Marriott started the Grande Vista refurbishment, they started with buildings in the older sections of the large resort. I think they're near the end of the refurbishment project in the older section that will bring the older villas up to the standard of the newer West Village section. So, despite being in the newest buildings those West Village villas are not the freshest villas at the resort and I suspect that they're now showing some wear.

Hope you have a great stay. We were at Grande Vista last Christmas, and unfortunately it was very chilly so we didn't get a chance to really enjoy everything the resort had to offer. We liked it very much, however.
Lakeshore Reserve is another matter -- looks like heaven. Still trying to get a booking there. We had a tour of the three-bedroom units and they are very nice indeed! Have a great vacation.

We have a 2 bedroom planned at LSR in about a month. My resi states I'll be placed into a 2 bedroom that has 1 king in the master and 2 queens in the 2and bedroom. I'm curious as to whether we;ll get a flat or townhouse style accommodation. Any idea? or update us when you check in.

And if you can, give some tips on what room / building /area to request I'm all ears about that. TIA.

If it has two bathrooms it's a single-level villa and if it has two and a half bathrooms it's a townhouse style villa (two bathrooms up, 1/2 bath down).
