Does anyone have any opinions on the Marriott Grande Vista vs the Westgate Town Center? Any experiences, good or bad would be appreciated.
We have great prices but not alot of information. I was on the Marriotts web site and got some info, but not able to find much on the Westgate Town Center.

The Westgate TC shares grounds with Westgate Vacation Villas so you may be able to find more info by looking for that. Between these two, the Westgate is closer to Disney, with a somewhat shorter drive. But the Marriott offers better, more consistent quality. So MGV would be my preference.

I've only stayed at the Marriot GV. In fact, we liked it so much, we're heading back there is a few months. It's a gorgeous resort and the suites are large and nicely decorated. We own DVC points and have stayed many times at OKW, and I'd have to say the Grand Vista is comparable.

If you are planning to do timeshare presentations, I have heard Marriott is a bit more laid back and Westgate is very high pressure.

HTH!

We are also DVC members and own nondisney timeshares. We stayed at Grande Vista in December before moving to Boardwalk. I really want to return one day soon. It is a beautiful resort and our room was great. Sea World was so close and if you went down International Drive, Disney was an easy commute. We stayed at Cypress Harbour in July and although pretty, it did not compare with Grande Vista. I would also compare it to Old Key West or a golf version of Grande Ocean in Hilton Head. We will definitely return.

I can only tell you that we've stayed at MGV and we can't wait to go back. It's so beautiful, clean, relaxing, tons to do...extremely close to WDW and Int'l Drive, shopping, food, gas, etc...yet it feels like your secluded in your own world when there. Even my kids want to go back there.

I hear nothing but dissappointing reviews about Westgate, no matter which location (villas, town center, resort).

I think MGV will be the consistently favored resort.

Have a great vacation:D

We booked the MGV yesterday. Only $174 for seven nights thru Interval World using a guest pass from my friend. Couldn't pass it up!!

Thanks for all the info.

That was a good choice and a great price.
Enjoy the trip.

I agree, you made an excellent choice. You will not be disappointed at this resort.
