Is there anybody out there that can help me out?

I own two weeks at Marriott Vacation Club, I am looking to stay at a DVC property.

You basically have your pick as to where you want go and stay at any Marriott in the world. Minimum 2 bed/2 bath, I can occasionally transfer into a 3br/3bath which I did most recently at Marriott Grande Vista in December.

The Marriott properties are great but I have two little kids whom I think would enjoy the experience of staying onsite.

If you can help me out or point me in the right direction, that would be great.

I've tried Interval but they no longer trade with DVC and Marriott is not an RCI affiliated resort.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

You can post an offer to trade a stay at your Marriott resort for a DVC stay thru the DIS DVC Rent/Trade Board - be sure to read thru the posting rules at the top of the board. TUG (www.tug2.net) is also a good resource for timeshare trades.

Where do you own? Some of the Marriott resorts still trade with RCI also. You might also consider looking at other exchange companies like SFX or TPI. A direct exchange is likely your best bet other than you'd need something pretty good to entice a DVC member. Also realize that a full week in a DVC units is almost always more points than would the exchange cost for that person exchanging through II in the past or RCI currently. Say a full week in a 2 BR were 350 points, a comparable exchange would likely cost 270 DVC points and certainly no more than that. If you've got HI, HH summer, a ski week or similar you're likely in a good position, for anything else it might be tough to find takers. You might consider asking for a 1 BR in return for a 2 BR or 5 nights avoiding weekends in return for a full week or any similar adjustment, or offering your week plus additional cash. To be honest, you're best bet is to rent out what you have and then rent from a DVC member then the market forces will even out the exchange costs for all parties.

Please note: Any offers or requests to trade must be done through our Rent/Trade board, not via any of the regular discussion boards.
