Having booked to stay at the courtyard by marriott in the marriott village for 2 weeks next easter with virgin, we were just wondering if anyone has stayed there recently as we have read comments on trip advisor that say it was dirty etc just need our minds putting at rest.

Next question does any one know what's good for a birthday treat as it's my mum's 39th birthday while we're out in WDW. We've thought of the usual things like balloon rides and airboat rides but we thought you guys might have something else that's just as special.Thanks in advance

We stayed there in July - it was really a nice courtyard. We got an upgrade to a suite so it's worth asking if they have any upgrades available. Pool was indoor/outdoor, not a square typical pool, much nicer. (my kids liked it. LOL) I thought it was an above average courtyard, clean room, nice sized room - would definitely stay there again! Very close to WDW, too -

We stayed at the Marriott Village Fairfield Inn in July and wouldn't hesitate to go there again. It's a lovely complex and very well placed for Disney and the Premium Outlets. I wouldn't take too much notice of some of the more critical comments on Trip Advisor. I've read reviews of some of the hotels we've stayed in before and wondered whether the writers have stayed at the same place! I think some people just make a career out of complaining. I read one once where someone complained that the bathroom sink was too small
Don't worry you'll have a great time, and how about a dinner show for your mums birthday. We went to Dolly Partons Dixie Stampede (just down the road from the Marriott Village) this year. It's quite corny but a good laugh.
