Which would you pick, and why? Has anyone stayed in either recently??
Thanks!

I would go with Cypress Harbour, especially if you request a recently refurbished or new room. I find it much nicer and quieter.

The only benefit of Sabal, in my opinion, is the use the the Marriott World Center facilities (they have a really nice pool).

We stayed at Cypress Harbour in May and loved it. Ask for a refurbished room near the main pool. I think RP may be closer, but we got around easily from CH and really loved the place.

Is it fairly easy to get a nice lake view at CH, or would this need to be a request at the time of booking? Great views are VERY important to me.
Thanks, all.

depends upon you - they have a bus that takes you back and forth.

don't take your car - then you end up paying the parking fee for this Marriott hotel.

I like them both. that say - Cypress Harbour constantly gets great reviews - Sabal Palms doesn't.

Sabal Palms is very, very close to WDW.

CH is close to Seaworld.

we've stayed at sabal palms 3 times and love it!! you can easily walk to the world pool from these villas and they also have their own pool with shuffle board, and a life size chess game set up beside the pool - very funny!! if you stay at the royal or the imperial palms villas (both located at the world property) you would probably want to utilize the shuttle up to the world pool as it is kind of a long walk and uphill. both those villas have their own pool also. the landscaping is beautiful at this hotel and the world pool is HUGE with a water slide and kids activities poolside free of charge

i love the proximity of the sabal and it is REALLY close to WDW.
have fun

I have been fortunate enough to stay at both Sabal Palms and Cypress Harbour. I was disappointed with Sabal Palms. The villas weren't as nice as Cypress Harbour and certainly nowhere near Grande Vista. The World Centre was a short walk (five minutes) but you're at the back of the property. If you need something the marketplace is located across the grounds at Royal/Imperial Palms and it's only a hole in the wall compared to Cypress Harbour.

The Marriott Cypress harbour is our favorite resort. We've stayed there twice and would go back again in a minute. Excellent location and layout, beautiful.

What is the World center? We are trying to choose a place to stay and the Marriott hotels are listed in our timeshare choices. Any Marriotts to stay away from? Any suggestions would be great.
Tara ;)

I haven't heard great things about Royal Palms (same area as Imperial and Sabal) - so I might avoid it.

I would only get a rehab or new room at the Grande Vista.

Cypress Harbour gets the best reviews. Lots of people seem to love this place. My cousin is going in Sept and I will get a first hand report then.

I almost stayed at Imperial Palms this last May. But I went with SSR studios. A 3-bedroom for a solo travel is pretty silly....

the World Center is around 2 miles from WDW - around 7 miles to any park.

the only closer timeshare is Fairfield Bonnet Creek and that one is the middle of WDW.

Now silver lake is closer but on the opposite end.

you have seem it. You can't miss it.

no other place looks like it.
