Got an e-mail this morning that Cardpool is offering Marriott Gift cards for 10% off while supply lasts. This is an extra 2% off the normal discount. There's only a limited quantity.
The nice thing with these is they can be used at all the Marriott Hotels, not just Marriott, but Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, Courtyard, Springhill Suites, etc. and the funds never expire....so essentially you are guaranteed another 10% off your hotel rate.
I had a $1000 stay at the Residence Inn last Christmas & paid for it with gift cards that I bought for $900 + the extra few dollars went on my credit card.

I guess they have some other cards too (Outback, Target, etc) that are discounted more than normal now too. They must be trying to clear out inventory from the post-Christmas rush.
