Has anyone stayed here? Friends will be staying here in October, while we are on site. They wanted a place to get away from it all. They have 2 small children and they thought this place would be a good fit. The only thing is while the DH golfs, the DW may not have car, do you need a car just to get around the resort itself? Is it a huge complex?

Anything you can relate will be appreciated.

Thank you.

P.S. They are not really "park" people so maybe 1 or 2 days at the park tops.

Cypress Harbor is a nicely self contained time share. A little off the beaten path, you're better off having a car for getting around the WDW area. I believe most internal resort activities are within
relatively easy walking distance of the units. They have a couple of nice pools and a decent activity area with a variety of planned activities. One possible drawback, there is no full service restaurant on site. A snack bar; and the general store has some food items. Go to their web site for further info...hope your friends enjoy their vacation...:smooth:

Just wanted to add that if you do not have a car the I-Drive Trolley stops at the entrance to Cypress Harbour. For about $1 a trip it runs from the Premier Outlet Mall to the Belz Outlet Mall and stops like a bus. You can also buy a longer pass. It is a little slow, but nice if you want to get out for dining/shopping.

We stayed at Cypress Harbour last October, my kids were 3 and 7 at the time. We really liked the resort, but we found the units (not sure if this is all units), need some updating. The sofas and chairs had rips in them, and looked really worn. We did not have much of a view, as the unit we were in had a huge tree in front of it. But as my mom always says, if you are not happy with the unit, ask to be switched! Other than that, it was a great resort, pool areas were great, and staff were friendly!
