Marriott Courtyard - Cocoa Beach?

(I'm having trouble posting - I tried to edit out the last post but it wouldn't let me - kept kicking me off)

We've never stayed, but I just got off the phone with Radisson. They said they are 2.7 mi. from the terminal - closest hotel to terminal - & 15 miles to KSC.

I've heard A LOT of really nice things about this hotel on these boards. Even the woman booking my reserv. said that she thinks it's a wonderful hotel.

I was able to get us a room w/2 king beds, a whirlpool (outside of the bathroom), microwave, refrig., etc. for $109./nt. I thought that was a pretty good deal - especially because we wanted to be close to the pier.:) She said the decor is tropical.

We are staying there the night before the cruise. We will post how it was when we return.

The Radisson is a nice property. Prior to our April cruise we stayed in a suite. BEWARE!! The 2nd King bed was a sofa bed. Suitable for my 35 lb DD, but not for me!!! Aside from that, the unit was very nice. We enjoyed the in room jacuzzi, as well as the kitchenette area. Aside from the sofa bed, it was worth the $.

I was just going through older threads when I saw this. You might have already crusied by now!!

We stayed at the Courtyard 6/1803. They have a crusie package that was $99-free shuttle, free parking. The rooms and the pool were nice. The beach was great (a short walk-5 min).

We did encounter a few minor problems. Unfortunately, it was storming from about 5-10pm. We had wanted to eat out, but decided to stay there. They have a very limited menu that is ok. The drinks we had-margaritas and pina coladas were terrible.

When you get your reservation, you have to ask for the crusie special. Whenever I called to ask ?s and confirm right before, they never seemed to have the correct information. Such as the price and what was included. Also, when i reserved. i asked about the shuttle pick-up time and if we could have it earlier. I was told yes and to request this when we checked in. When we got there, we were told the shuttle wasn't free and we could only go at the scheduled time. When I informed her of my previous conversations about this she checked it out and found that I was right. The only thing was that she could not promise to have the shuttle there at 11:00. The shuttle was there at 11:00.

Nice hotel, ok food, a little misinformed on their part, but it all worked out.
