Just wanted some suggestions as to what time is best to bid for the Buffalo Marriot on priceline. I have tried up to $70not accepted (started at $58)
need 1 room on March 12, and another room on March 16

also anyone have a problem in getting 2 queen beds at this hotel
plan is to use their free parking while in Disney

should I just wait until about 2 weeks out- suggestions or previous experience welcomed

I have been to this very nice Marriott twice since last November. Both times I was able to get it for 60.00 two days prior to my trip.
I believe the trick is to have a cancellable reservation somewhere else for peace of mind. In my case, it was with La Quinta.
Good luck.
PS: I was also trying waaaay before my trip and went all the way to 75.00 without success.
PS2: in both cases, I had no issues to get 2 queen beds. I hope this helps.

thanks yes I need to make a cancellable ressie and will do so this weekend- maybe comfort inn or sleep inn
then be patient
thanks so much

I will be bidding on the Marriot for this coming Friday night. I am waiting until Wed to make sure we don't have a snow storm. There is a storm brewing and they are predicting a hit on Thursday - not sure if the storm will hit Buffalo. I think this ressie in the ONLY thing I have been relaxed about.

Let us know if you are able to get it by bidding Wed
By the way I see you are going to WH- you will like it

I didnt know you could use the free parking if you bid with Priceline, I was under the impression that you had to book their park and fly rate which is more than the regular one night rate. Has anyone here booked with the Marriott with PL and then parked there on that rate? Please let me know as this is one of my fav hotels for Buffalo shopping (when I get it on PL!)

Yes, I have done it and many other pople have. On my research, it is the only Buffalo hotel which does not charge extra for park and fly.

I got it for this Friday!!!!!!!!!! I got two rooms for $59 each. I am so happy. I was really waiting to make sure the weather was fine and kids are healthy. I am in denial about this trip. The plan was to book LaQuinta if this hotel was booked OR stay on the Canadian side at Embassey Suites. I am going to call the Marriot today and request joining rooms, shuttle time etc....

Only two more sleeps until I surprise my kids!

Momtoemma - I heard Windsor Hills is awesome! Where are you staying?

Awesome, we will be doing the same thing in a couple of weeks! We need the park & fly for the night before, but I am going to book 2 nights if it goes through at a good price! We want to do some shopping the day before our flight! Was $59 your starting bid? We don't need the ressie til March 5th, when do you think I should try to bid?

greenclan67 - I started bidding at $50 and went up in small increments. I tried bidding on this property one month ago and it wouldn't take $60....I decided to hold off - mostly due to weather..You cannot cancel the reservation so best to bid close to the date.

wowo really good work and great price
fitmom3- we are staying at the Radisson LBV this time as we got a deal $79/ night with breakfast and we get a $25 dinner credit
We wont be in the room really at all (DD and I are going for 5 days, rest of family are flying in day before our cruise, so they will just want to rest they think- red eye from Vancouver)

We have stayed at Windsor Hills before and it was fine. I would not rave about it as many do- it was just fine. I actually like Vista Cay better but could be becuase we had a very luxurious 3 bedroom unit at VC and it was over the top ha ha
enjoy your trip and thanks for the tips. I will not drive myself crazy with bidding until the Thursday before we go for a room Saturday night

I hope with my weekend being March break start that this is not a problem- I really do need to get on that cancelable ressie before I forget
