Got an offer of $199 for 4 nights. Have to sit through a 1 1/2 hour Timeshare presentation. Just wondering if anyone has taken this offer and what their experience was.

:wave2:

Sorry can't help but I would love to get that offer. Does anyone know how? thanks.

I haven't personally taken Marriott's Timeshare presentation, but I've taken several others. My aunt who has taken Marriott's said theirs was the easiest timeshare presentation yet (in other words it was NOT a hard sell). She and my uncle were in and out within 90 minutes. She said the property is really nice. She said she wanted to even buy but didn't want to buy from Marriott because you can get better deals in resells (other websites- and better interest rates). Anyway, sorry I couldn't be of any more help.

please say how you got this offer - Marriott are very, very nice - and the salepeople are not hard sell at all - very friendly even!!!

you will have a wonderful time - even fun!!! go for it!!!!

We did this promo a few years ago. Very easy timeshare presentation. Salesperson was very professional and we actually were finished before the 90 minutes required. Just told him upfront if we were going to buy it would be resale and that we were TUG members. Took a quick tour, filled out an evaluation and were on our way! Wonderful property.

How did you get this offer? We have friends that would like to do it this year. Thanks

I got the offer in the mail today also. Friends of mine who own down there must have put my name in as someone who may have interest. It mentions their name in the heading as "your friend _ _" If it's as low key as everyone says, we'll book it. We were thinking about taking a cruise in March, but this offer we just can't refuse.

How did you guys get these offers in the mail? We would love to stay at MGV and would even do the Timeshare presentation since we're considering a timeshare. Is there a phone number on these cards or codes?

Thanks

My parents own 2 Marriott's (bought them both within the past year). They love Marriott and said that the presentations were very informative and very easy. They were actually at MGV last week and signed my husband and I up for a tour when we go in October. I know that we aren't going to buy, but we'll go anyway so that my parents get the points for referring us and we get the perk (cheap offer for future stay or park tickets).

(PS) we also got the $199 offer in the mail and I think it's because I signed up under vactionclub.com

I think is it because we are US Air dividend miles members because the offer also includes 7200 free miles with the 4 nights at $199. We are considering doing it. Can anyone tell me what type of room they put you in for that rate?

pretty sure it is the efficiency (also called studios) - but who knows you might get a 1-bedroom (don't count on it)

Do it. We had this offer last year (SIL owns at Grande Vista) and we took advantage of this low rate. Worth every penny. Worth every minute of the 90 minutes. We got a 2 bedroom, 2 bath ultimately-situated unit and it was the best accommodation we've stayed in in the Disney area. I can't say enough about it. I was scared to death by the reported ferocity of the timeshare presentations in the Orlando area. Did not have one scap of trouble from the Marriott "show". Low-key, nice, pleasant, rode to the demo in a golfcart and it was completely fine. I am a self-proclaimed non-confrontational "wuss" who was perfectly at ease. My enthusiastic advise is: GO FOR IT!

We just got back. I also got the offer and did the tour. It was the most lower pressure tour I've had. The Marriott was the nicest place we've stayed to date. We stayed at Cypress Harbour. They even included daily maid service and there were no additional fees (taxes) when we checked out. Since I have a family they took us over to the Horizons location rather the GV.

I saw the offer at Marriottvacationclub.com ,but for more than $199.00. Maybe you could start there and ask for the better rate.

We are doing the tour this summer. If you want to PM me your address, I will submit it to them if they ask me for people who might be interested.
