If you are content to stay at the Royal Palms you'll be happy with it. Kind of a slow, quiet resort. If you plan to take advantage of the world resort and pool then you may find it a pain as we did (shuttle here and there). We were at Imperial which shares the main building.
I chose the Royal Palms mainly because I could book two consecutive weeks in a 2 bedroom unit. We'll probably try both pool, as my dd seems to be part fish!!!
We toured all the Palms in Nov. '08. Their rehabs are very impressive, beautiful comfortable rooms. We'd be very happy there in a two bedroom for two weeks! We loved how close it was to WDW's entry. Have a great trip!
We stayed in a 3 bedroom at Marriott's Imperial Palms last month and it was really nice. The units were big and comfortable, too. I thought the trees and landscaping on the drive back into the Royal and Imperial units was quite pretty - the hanging flower baskets was a nice touch.
